All of you are just reminding me I'm slacking on going to the range. Still have the two inherited handguns that I have not shot lol

They remind me of the ubiquitous Dick Cepek DC2. I wonder if you could find KO2s to match?

I had no idea! They said in their new member meeting they have 1800 members

Absolutely we should get a date together. It’s been too long since I had some time at the range. I have new guns I haven’t even shot yet!

I actually had to work almost 8 hours today, like a real job. Okay, I get paid so STFU.

My son is flying in tonight to go to a friend's 40th birthday celebration. Originally was due to land at Logan at 8:30, but got delayed an hour. Then another hour, so he'll land about 10:30. He had to check a bag, which never does so add about 30 minutes more until he gets out.

Oh, the big TV in the Living Room died today. Just lost the picture. I did all the troubleshooting possible and it's dead Jim.

We were planning to dump if we move anyway, because it's 8 years old. Nope, effing thing couldn't hold on a few months.

Other than that it was a just lovely day.

Logan moved the cell phone lot again. Did their usual bang up job with the signs telling us where it is now.

The order of operations for when I look for for flights:

    • Providence (TF green)
    • Hartford
    • Worcester
    • Manchester
    • NYC (train from PVD to NYC)
    • Portland (family south of there I can stash a car at if needed)
    • Boston
Let alone aren't they shutting down tunnels to get there for weekends all summer again?

The time to get to Logan is the same as the time to get to NYC from Providence if I can find a direct out if there.

We've been looking at flying in and out of PVD, but we also have a $3600.00 travel credit on Delta from a trip I had to cancel. Delta doesn't go some of the places we travel out of PVD. Also, I only booked the cancelled flight on Delta because it was international and it was the only flight that worked for both me and my son. He lives outside of Charlotte and we were meeting at JFK to fly out international. If that makes sense.

My son travels a lot and has learned a lot of tricks. He never checks a bag if doesn't have to. On tonight's flight he had to because he flew on an Embraer 175. He started his week Monday with a flight to The Hague. He got back yesterday, and is up here tonight. Sunday night he flies out to Newark for business and then Monday afternoon he flies back home. When he goes to The Hague, he only takes one carry on bag and one backpack for his computer. He's the guy that convinced me to get Global Entry for the cancelled trip. Not a big deal as it replaces my Pre Check card.

Anyway, I have that Delta credit for a year so we're going to use it before we lose it.

Oh, I used to have free parking at Logan, but that all went away about five years ago. PVD parking is much less, I'm sure you know.

If our plans work out, it will be moot by the end of the year because we'll have escaped New England.

I don't really track tunnel closures any more because I very rarely go into Boston these days.

Last couple times I flew anywhere, flights from Logan were way cheaper than TF Green. I park in Framingham and shuttle to Boston rather than deal with the traffic. How long is the train ride from PVD to NYC?

Can't believe what caused it but noise issue resolved..... not lca, not shock bushing, not ball joint...... 4 bolts holding mid skid and crossmember for trans were loose

If you want to see expensive flights check out the school vacation weeks!

The wife and I are off to Aruba from Tuesday through Friday without the monsters. In the past when we've gone we take the JetBlue direct flight out of Logan, it was something like $2,400 more round trip for both of us April vacation week compared to the week before or after. We opted for a Delta flight which was a smidge more reasonable but still exceedingly pricey.

At this point it's money well spent as the break is well needed, but it was absolutely outlandish. With the kids and getting coverage for them we are spending the extra cash for convenience (driving into and parking at Logan, doing carry-ons only to minimize airport time, paying a bit extra for a direct flight home, etc). But, we leave MA at 6:35 and should be sitting on the beach by 1 PM at the latest.
