So I wanted to get my control arms (upper and lower) changed. I was looking at the brand Element but I wanted to get others opinions on it as well. Preferably some for some off road beating. But not like for dunes. Just like casual type of off road. Thank you.

not sure about lowers but for uppers I’d go JBA.

The best UCA's on the market are Total Chaos, everything else is trash. They're also about to release LCA's as well, but if you don't want to wait then just stay with the stock LCA's, they're tough enough.

All depends on what you're looking for and how much you want to spend but I'm recommending -

    https://www.spcalignment.com/component/spc/?task=part_description&pid=25460

For your LCAs, replace bushings if needed.

    Cheers!

EDIT: Did you sort out the issues you had with rear shocks and your leaf springs? Going to want to do that before looking at UCAs.

pretty rough. The only hard part was pressing that piece into the top of the steering knuckle without removing it from the truck. Lots of cuss words and blood were given that day. I used a ball joint press and grease to get it in. Oh and I stuck that little piece you press in, in the freezer overnight so it shrunk a little.

There they are. Only advice I got is to be patient and keep going till that piece is in. It’ll get there eventually. Just work it in side by side if you have to. I had to do that towards the end.

Thanks so your issue was getting the new cup in?
Did you use any oil to help it go in?
No issues getting the old joint out?

Old ball joint came out pretty easy. Yeah I used grease to help get the new cup in. Took about 30 min to get the new cup in.

yeah I stuck with the old ones for now since they are still good. I’m debating if I should go Billstein again or add an air ride. Any suggestions are appreciated. You can pm me.

I got Built Right uni-ball UCAs a few years ago and have had no issues with them. They're basically Camburgs/Total Chaos, but about $200 cheaper. You have to call to order - based in Cali

I’ve had Camburgs for 10 years and beat my truck, what makes you say everything else is trash?

Last I looked Total Chaos still uses WSSX16T ball joints as do several manufacturers, is there some secret such as they use better steel or something?

Answer is no. They both use 4130, unless you’re running heims instead of urethane bushing the difference is the paint.
