This makes sense, pretty much the same category as my '86 Burton snowboard which is relegated to wall art as well. At first glance the modern Team Associated 1/10 scale truggy line looked odd but has grown on me after understanding it. Thanks for mentioning Tekno, I hadn't heard them yet the TKR9003 – EB48 2.1 1/8th 4WD Competition Electric Buggy Kit looks pretty awesome.

The Tekno kits are very beefy; quality stuff.

Well, after 8 months my yeti jr score truck had an electronic failure, so I finally got the chance to go brushless. While I expected it do die early on (hence why it was discontinued), it lasted way longer than I expected. The stock brushed motor was reasonable, but now with a hobbywing 16BL30 esc and 2435 motor it rips. I also picked up a new 7 channel radiolink remote for the crawlers, but it has gyro functions too which is nice for the fast stuff, especially the yeti jr since it didn't have that from the factory. I already have a 3s lipo on the way, but I'm scared to try it with how fast it already is on a 2s. I also get the feeling there will be lots of breakage with the step up in power. I think the yeti jr is going to get really expensive really quick.

I have added at least 6 more since I took these pictures... 2 Rustler 4x4s, another Stampede 4x4, Slash 4x4, 4tec on road car, and the re-release of the Baja 5b Gaser.

It's the Axial SCX6, it is a beast at 1/6 scale! I want the Honcho bad, but they are $1,100 bucks!

No photos because I suck, but I'd like to be in this thread lol.
I had, A traxxas rustler (Had a Mamba Max set up, 8s etc) Traxxas Stampede, Traxxas slash 4x4 (strc lcg conversion, with sidewinder esc 3800kv motor), Losi Micro T, Losi Mini T, Losi Mini 8ight, Axial Exo Terra, a few more I can't remember.

The Losi Mini 8ight was my favorite, can't remember what motor/esc I ran, but that thing never broke. I also really liked my exo terra.

Here's a video of me and my buddies old backyard track. The big wooden jump in the middle used to be for jumping an old 70's corvette.

I agree. I've had many. Still currently running the EB and ET 410s and they have been solid. The EB410.2 is probably my main race vehicle and I just absolutely love driving that car. Tekno is a cool brand. I wanted to get their newest 1/8 buggy but I have a TLR 8ight X and I really like it. So I just can't bring myself to sell that, to make room for the Tekno.

    You're fine.
In the last two months, I replaced/upgraded electronics in two older cars, purchased this 4runner and FCX Power Wagon, the Mini Z Land Rover showed up today, there is another FCX Smasher coming on Monday and another Mini Z on back order until it arrives sometime this summer. Plus another TX/RX and servo combo to replace the crap electronics in the 4runner.
    It's just a fun hobby.

Was not entirely happy with the Mini Z stock shocks and they way they bounced as well as the overall height, so I installed a tiny spring inside to pull them down but still allow close to full extension.
The top spring is what is installed in the pic, the trimmed spring is what i installed in the next pic. The extra coils on the ends inhibited the extension quite a bit.

Trimmed spring installed. Shocks are about 4-5mm shorter at rest and only lost 1mm of full extension.
the top spring is what was in there and you can see how it collapsed when i pulled on it for testing.

Overall ride height looks much better, has about 6-7mm of up travel now, links sit close to flat and lost the torque twist on acceleration. a bit less bouncy as well.

they just went after a bunch of small parts shops for using the word Traxxas on their websites. They were able to convince a website host to take down someone’s page with threat of litigation.

Most hosting providers will take that kind of action when they receive a threat like that. Easier to do and deal with later that resolve now.

I haven't tracked it and don't know the details about the Traxxas trademark issue. Given that, it may be worth noting that if a company is shown to not actively protect its trademarks, they can be treated as public domain again and the trademark can be lost. As much as the effects of that requirement are burdensome or counterintuitive in some cases, the folks responsible for Traxxas' trademark maintenance may not have a choice but to protect it, however that may be interpreted.

What Traxxas could do is coin some alternate (proxy) terminology associated with their business that is not trademarked, then allow others to reference that terminology instead.

Traxxas doesn’t have to do anything. It took me all of a few minutes to find their trademark usage policies—they tell you exactly how to use their trademarks.

The use it or lose it you refer to is exactly right. And honestly, I would expect the recipients of these letters do the same to protect their own trademark or patent.
