he gave me mild its a stock truck no extra weight. The mild is more than enough for me.But you have to decide what works for you.Allen will spend all the time you need.Once tune is in you go for a drive and see if it is good for you.My truck is a standard so it was a perfectfit. I'll bet you wont be able to wipe the smile off your face good luck. you will love it.let us know.

This is what I eventually went with...the sensitivity is still there...just not as much.

My next update (9.0) is pending with Yoda-Master! (MasterYota)

He can get busy...plus, he's all the way in NJ! lol

I was tuned initially on Mar 23, 2022 (Middletown, DE) and then updated on Sep 18, 2022 (Christiana Mall).

There's an update but I can wait for Allan the next time he's near DE/PA area.

Just got mine done today by masteryoda. Overland torque tune lite mild throttle. Changes the way the truck feels right off the bat, really makes driving the truck fun. I know it’s not a race car but I don’t want it to be a dog. I’m running 285/70/17 e rated, hiline bumper with wings and a winch, prinsu roof rack and Yakima rack with front runner rack on it, also rock rails. Moves like it should have all along. I have 88000 on the odometer should have done it sooner

Ok guys. We promised you guys some 2.7L Dyno Results. We're happy to be able to provide you this data and we're excited to have even more in the works for this platform which will significantly boost these numbers even on 87 Octane. We've got to revisit this at another time when we have some additional tools at our disposal to make it possible. But we were able able to explore within the calibration of the 2TR to see what the engine likes and responds too. Like many other modern Toyota platforms many areas of the calibration are rather well sorted for a stock-ish truck.

We were able to extract the following out of a 04C10 calibration in a low mileage truck using 87 Octane from a quality station.

    OTT 3G 2.7L 87Octane Tune.jpg

The output above 5K RPM is run-run variance. We extensively tested VVTi, Ignition, etc. changes and were not able to extract additional output over the factory calibration, so any variance you see here is simple run-run variance and not related to the calibration.

For any of our current 3G 2.7L customers: please reach out to us or your local tuner to receive your updated tune. Update will be free of charge. We do anticipate another potential update to be released but more to come on that as we coordinate with VFTuner on our needs.

Just got my OTT from Q today. I appreciate the effort he makes to have these meets in SoCal to help us out.

From the brief drive back from the meetup, which is mostly highway driving, I am seeing a small improvement in MPG. Probably about .4-.6 mpg improvement in a short distance (~20 miles).

I barely have to lay on the throttle at highway speeds when cruising and do not need to downshift to maintain speed going up highway grades. Rev matching is much smoother. I don't notice any lag when blipping the throttle.

Still getting a feel for the throttle response but so far so good. Agree with everyone else's sentiment that the truck should have been this way from the factory. It is a night/day difference to me.

So there is a difference in throttle profiles between OTT 8.0 and OTT 9.0. I used to have spicy on OTT 8.0.

During the upgrade to OTT 9.0 I started with medium throttle but found it too aggressive so Dave @ YotaTune backed it off to mild which is perfect for my driving style.

OTT 9.0 seems to offer quite a bit more torque than OTT 8.0 did. Very happy with the upgraded tune! Great work!

Looks like Ky Truck Tuning is getting set up in Lexington, KY by next weekend. Ragen lives a couple of stone throws away, guess I've run out of excuses now. My 2021 TRD OR Auto w/ 17k miles has been needing this. Hope to be one of his first customers and I'll report back on how it goes.

Hay guys I'm jumping back into Ott side of the tuning community and I've done a few different updates in mods to my engine performance. I'm gonna be reviewing how the tune reacts to these mods. Some of you know or if you have been following me I've been updating elsewhere. It's that time of year where I'll be loading down my Tacoma with camping gear, hunting gear, and long road trips being loaded down. I recently bought a CVT trailer.

    20230415_131338.jpg

This tune I know gives you that power that is needed for heavy hauling or towing . Bare with me as I like to give time for the tune to log miles.

I'm here to give my best real world experience and the best opinions I can give . I'm very avid on Tacoma world and giving the best experience I can share . Look very forward to giving back to the community and any advice. Talk to you all soon .
