When I was looking I think one bed measurement was shorter on the 2nd gen. I remember seeing pictures where people had tried 2nd gen cap on 3rd gen and there was a pretty bad gap.

The high point of my day was putting in the brake controller. It’s gone downhill ever since to the point I now know what the inside of a washing machine transmission looks like. On a related note I now need a washing machine. :anonymous:

If I'm not mistaken, the 3rd gen bedsides are taller(why the 2nd gen cap is taller on the 3rd gen pic'd above) and the tailgate flares.

This is a cap that was on a 3rd gen....never seen one of those on a 2nd gen. Being as it has rear barn doors....the tailgate doesn't matter.

Yeah I think the gap was where the tailgate flared. So no tailgate no problem? I can measure my bed if it helps.

I really need to see a visual. I assume it'll be lower than the roof line since the 2nd gen is taller on the 3rd. I could combat that with spacers and a rack :D

The cap is so cheap, I may just ride over and see

Whatever you do, DO NOT get 1 of those front load washers. They're good for a few years and after that they suck.

I stick with old school washers and dryers. Easier to fix and pretty cheap to find used. This washer has followed me around fo probably 15 years :D
