You owned your ARB bumper longer than I have and you only just now got your splash guard?

    What the heck.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
@MattJakobs stopped by. We got some work done on his knuckles. Which left me with a set of spindles for the rear axle. Score! Thanks Matt

The spindles allowed me to mock up the housing, to find out what length I'm sitting at now, so I know how much to cut the housing.

Housing gives me 81 inch from WSM to WSM. Which means I'll be taking 15 inches off to get to 66.

My front, at ride height is 67 3/8. I'd like to be just about 1 inch narrower for the rear axle.

Lower ball joints and tie rods are done. I need to get an alignment very soon though. Steering wheel is at 11 o’clock, but the poly bushings took a lot of slop out of the steering.

Set a baseline time at the strip with 35s and stock gears. Time to shed weight, put smaller tires on and up the boost! 16.669 at 85mph

It's a hoot. Sure no one else is going to be impressed but I love the challenge and figuring out how to get off the line. I've got some speed parts ready to go and turn this overlander into a street truck. I had hoped for getting to 100mph but I don't think that can happen with a 3.4 sitting between the frame rails so we will shoot for 15s and 90mph, which is plenty quick.

Used the transfer case  next time once I get it prepped better I'll bring the pit van so we can have parts and tools to figure out what's weaker, the CV axles or the clutch with a much more aggressive launch.

    Weekend project progression

Electrical switch panel mounted. Can't weld aluminum so... rivets! Need to sort where all the switches and gauges will go before I drill a ton of holes in it.
    20230415_155649.jpg

Platform panels finished. Painted them with some HF bedliner today. Did about 3 coats. Figure it's an experiment so we will see how it turns out. I like it so far. Goose gear does something similar with Baltic birch and some other liner I'm sure.
    Hinges made and painted.
finished the water port mount to open up the side section of the bed. 20230415_120227.jpg

Made a little handle out of some stainless plate.
    20230415_144453.jpg

Stainless T nuts and hardware all fasten the hinges and handle for a secure setup that can be serviced if need be.
    20230415_161625.jpg

Taken everything apart and put it all back together more times than I can count but it feels good to make a ton of progress on the camp setup.

Next up, wiring, capeted courregated plastc panels, lights and some 4x4 63s to handle the weight of my decisions :bananadead:

Doubt. If I locked it, maybe but open, I don't see it with only 300hp...

I dumped frank at 5500 once in 4 low hahaha felt like the tires came off the ground. Probably didn't but was a funny experience.

Of course I had tundra cc axles. But the diffs held with the lower ratios. And tranny ha so I think you'll be okay.

In 4lo with boost these trucks are wild. On the street and now the track it makes too much torque to put it down unless it's got all 4 hooked up. Give me some time and in a few weeks we will have an update ;)
