Thanks for a great weekend! Got home safe. Snow started around Rice Lake and was a full raging blizzard by Mason. Snow day from work tomorrow-expecting up to 16-22 inches tonight! We'll see...

Took a Carlos guided route home and found some of that snow. All the wet weather cleaned off the majority of the oatmeal mud. Got home just in time for dinner.
Amazing trip! Thanks again to everyone involved!

It was raining pretty good when I got home, so I grabbed a few things out of the cab and said screw it, everything else can wait until tomorrow. I'm off, so I can take my time and properly dry and fold the tent, etc. I just went back out to the truck to grab something and when I popped the tailgate I heard a guy talking in there! My Milwaukee radio had shifted and something bumped the power button. It's way up by the cab, so it will be on until the battery dies. :anonymous:

My truck definitely changed from lava red to mud pie brown over the weekend.

I stopped at the Kwik Trip in Dodgeville to gas up and a wash. When we departed, we saw yooouuu......zzzzz!

I should have taken a pic.

Despite the snow, @rubbersidedown was game for trying out the one high clearance section we found south of devils lake. I totally thought it would have hard ground under the slop, but it was pretty ridiculously slippery mud. Just 100 yards in, I thought if we should move this tree…but when I stopped, I could feel the 4 runner sliding slowly towards low ground. Which is an uncomfortable feeling on a ridge road. I figure that if traction is bad just being parked, it might be best to turn around.

    upload_2023-4-16_22-47-44.jpg

Still, this whole weekend was great as usual. I had tons of fun and appreciated having @rubbersidedown and @Aztec120 as convoy buddies on the way in and out. Great to meet all the new folks! Hope to see all of you next time!

77 square miles surrounded by reality.
    Vehicle:
    '15 Black DCLB SR5
Tires, Softopper, fully armored, winch, many pinstripes.
Southern Wisconsin had an inch or two, but Wearing drove home to blizzard warnings with 16-22 inches in the forecast. I can't even imagine that in April.
