The fog lamp indicator works regardless of the foglamps being there. I had my fogs unplugged and the indicator on the dash still illuminated.

My understanding of the system is, the fog lamp sends a ground signal to the BCM, the BCM will the a ground signal to the Fog Relay to trigger it. The BCM will also send a signal over CAN to the Combination Meter to illuminate the Fog Lamp Indicator. There is no feed back in the system stating that the fogs are actually on or off so the switch and the indicator will function together when in the correct state regardless of actual fog lamp operation.

First statement is fine, but your stated understanding makes no sense if we all follow the first statement.:burp:
There is no "tie" to Main Body ECU from the Fog LAMPS.
Battery - fuse - relay 30 to 87, to lamps to ground.

    Then there's also this:

Which as you've stated, burnt, missing lamps... and I guestimate even Fog Relay missing doesn't affect the FOG Selected indicator on dash. But it doesn't help the OP clear what has happened to his install.:burp:

Your second picture shows a ground signal coming from the Main Body ECU to the foglamp relay. This is the signal that activates the foglamps, since the other side is fused in the fuse box. As for my suggestion of removing the fog relay, if his fog lamps are on the foglamp circuit, removing should shut them off. If they don't shut off then there is a short to high after the relay or the fogs are not on the foglamp circuit.

I appreciate all the feedback. Dropped the truck back off at the shop last night. The issue was obviously not just a simple fix and was more involved than my current skill level. Assuming it gets fixed, i will try and post the solution when I get it back for future reference.

Update shop, was unable to fix the issue. Go figure. I decided to stop messing around with it and wired them into my switch panel. I will live with it.1A9B3568-F6BD-4388-B908-90C3D36C6F31.jpg
