The copper colored stuff is a special lubricant applied by Glock at the factory. It helps the break in. You really should not remove it, at least not before you’ve fired numerous rounds through it.

What I was told before I bought my first pistol:

Buy a glock, knock out the plastic sights and replace with metal night sights, throw a surefire or a streamlight on it, pull the slide, split inside so it knows you’re dominant, slap it back together and run it til it fails (jokes on you, it wont).

It's copper based anti seize. I leave it on factory glocks, and put on more when it wears off. I also put it on all my P80s. I have never "broken in" a glock.

Has anyone personally seen a Glock worked on by Wilson Combat? I have been thinking of sending mine in for some frame work, but it ain't cheap. Looking at their stippling, thumb logos, and double trigger guard undercut. I know I could do these things myself, but I understand their process is computerized and the finished product looks awesome. This is also potentially stopping me from buying another Walther, which I have a love/hate relationship with. Just tough to spend twice as much modding the Glock (not including the cost of the gun) to get it to the level of a new factory Walther, but still with a worse (aftermarket) trigger...

The copper colored lube is supposed to stay in the gun - helps with the break in. It wears away naturally.

I have shot one. The trigger was amazing was a Vickers elite package gun accuracy seemed to be above average for Glock. I did like the grip enhancements and under cut trigger guard.

not sure where to post this
if you have any suggestions let me know

got a set of sights I don't need, factory/OEM metal night sights. Not that old, plenty of tritium left
fits 19 and other models with the same slide width
    no issues
offering discounted pricing less than new, if you have an offer let me know, I'm still trying to figure out what these normally go for and what to ask
great upgrade to the factory plastic L-shape crap, and looks better than certain ugly sights on the market; also has dots in the back to see at night, instead of competitors with a blacked out one

I'm seeing a bunch online for like $130
obviously I'm gonna try to give you a deal for much less than that
which is still gonna benefit the both of use more than me saying fuck it and throwing them in the trash...

I imagine this is shippable at low cost, due to small size and weight

Those sights go for about $40-50 bucks shipped. Not worth as much as the one with the orange front.

I have one in my Gen 3 19…it’s not a massive flip reduction as the 19 doesn’t really flip that much anyway but it does make an improvement. I’m more in it for the weight distribution as I like it better. Rapid follow ups are improved a bit. I could see it improve in a .40 as they flip a little more than a 9.

I'd never spend $85 on a glock guide rod. So I'll recuse myself from this poll.

I've also never paid $100 for an AR charging handle.

    It's only money after all.

Im there with you on the charging handle lol. IDK about the guide rod though since it does improve recoil and is more functional than a charging handle lol.
