Or….. How fast you are willing to go.

I’m not trying to be the Dad or Grandpa here at all. Just saying that everyone is different. Speed has never done a thing for me. call me weird, or what eve you want, doesn’t bother me at all.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I will relay all the positive vibes you guys are sending his way. Apparently he is completely fine without a scratch! Lucky as hell, and he isn’t a young dude either. I think he is 66 or 68.

Add me to the list of folks glad to hear he's still around! You can also add me to the list of people who have had the misfortune of automotive contact.

Damn, glad to hear he's doing OK and sounds like he'll keep riding.

This is why I always advocate for lane splitting. It might not always help (like in situations at a stop sign) but having been rear ended several times in cars I just don't like being exposed like that.

It's also why I have 2 extra brake lights on my bike and wear a hi-viz vest. It might not help if the person is on their phone but it is eye catching at least.

Incredibly easy. 14 and 19mm socket to pull the axle, the old ones will fall out, then a 5mm and 6mm hex and a small rubber or plastic hammer to put in the new adjusters and get them snug. Reinstall the axle, set your chain slack, snug up the axle, good to go. If I wasn't filming I could have done it in under 10 minutes, I bet.

Edit: also post up pics of whatever fender delete you go with. I've had mine for a few months now and still haven't decided what tail tidy I want to go with.

Thanks for all the positive comments…I will relay them.
@but why tho I also tend to move to one side of the other in the lane when things slow down. Would rather give someone a little more space to ram the car next to me if they aren’t paying attention.
I even do this at a Stop sign. I never stay in the middle as I have been hit twice from the rear when stopped. Both were people creeping off the brake and didn’t realize it…and slowly pushed me off my feet. One the guy almost crushed me into the back of the car in front of me :( bent my shit all up.
That was one of the people I beat his ass in the side of the road… not smart, but I could control myself…so I got to take a ride :(

But nonetheless, remember if you get in an accident sue there asses…people only learn from money being taking out of their pockets. Today people don’t give a fuck about anyone…except themselves.

FYI - I couldn’t take the guy to court that I left knocked out on the side of the road after he hit me.

Sucks that happened but after dealing with my own experience I’d advise him to get a lawyer- especially since it was a company vehicle. I’ve never been one to be litigious, but this situation definitely calls for it.

Most definitely. I have gave him a number of an auto accident lawyer friend, who helped me out. He also rides and has also been hit. I used to not be litigious, but after the incident I had with a bad wreck I had I learned it only makes sense.

I about died and was so fucked up it wasn’t funny. Besides, I refuse to allow idiots to get away with their careless actions anymore. If I had 1 tat, it may be J.G. Wentworth “It’s your money, use it when you need it” lol

You really shouldn't ever stop in the middle of the lane at any intersection. Common sense in a way as that's where every car or truck with anything leaking or dripping any kind of fluid is going to deposit it making it slipperier than to either side of center. I pick which side of center based upon my path leaving the intersection. Always look for an out and try to leave sufficient room to get there if things go sideways.

I have a brake light modulator so that when I apply my brakes it flashes several times before going solid. Technically not DOT legal but they can kiss my ass.

It's on the trailer. Now for the paranoia of "are the straps good? Did I over tighten it? Is it tight enough?"

Service sucks so no pics will load.

Always stop down the road and check the straps…especially if they are new or wet.
