I've seen this for sale on FB in the 3rd gen pages a few times, good to see he finally put it up on an auction site. Lot of admirers on the FB groups but most just scoff at any realistic asking price

It's really just figuring out how the parking brake works. Different from 1st gens but I'm sure not difficult. Think I have to get inside the drum.

Oh yeah I'm pretty sure the cable goes inside the drum to hook up on those. I'm sure you'll have no problem with it but if you want I can pull the assembly and disassembly information from all data if you want it

Yeah I am not sure the oil pan situation. There was the guy who had a build thread here who claimed he ditched 4x4 due to clearance issues with the pan and the diff.
Well the 3.4 would come with a supercharger...
Any idea where a build thread is?

That's okay that's what garbage cans are for, best place to store that supercharger. I recall seeing a guy modify an F body pan to make it work with the 4x4. As with all stuff LS related there's probably some information in the sloppy mechanics groups

Well look at it from my perspective. I could remove the supercharger and urd kit and sell it for $2500-$3k. Then the engines probably $1500 for the stock 3.4. I would need to make that money back to fund a V8 swap. I doubt you want to pay that premium to throw those bits away.

You can keep those bits, i just want the 5VZ long block and the r150 that you'll decide not to keep when you look at the reality of making power with an LS

He can correct me but I thought @Yota X was doing an LS swap into his 4x4 tacoma? Then again I think he's doing a SAS so he might not be running into oil pan troubles in that regard

Awesome build though, I think he's just getting it sorted now but I want to see some rips with that new turbo back housing he got.

I would want to keep it manual and on a budget so you aren't getting both haha. Just know if this happens you'll have to drive to Boise to strip the blower off when you pick up the "hopefully not blown up" engine.

So no boost for the 5.3 ever then? Cause the r150 is strong but it isn't boosted v8 torque at a launch strong. I'd come down to grab the engine, hell I'll help you pull it, we might have to discuss price though, also I may have LSes to trade, depends on what you want.

It's plenty for down the road. I want to do the stuff I have planned before I can think about doing the V8 swap.

I would start NA with a mild cam and see how it does. That's basically the setup in my friends S10 and he is getting into 13.7s. Going to a turbo setup would be awesome but to me that's its own can of worms. Regardless this all dreaming at this point.
