285/70/17 fits under mine no problem with the horns hammered out a bit from my deadblow and the host relocation mod done.

I got the idea for the relocation mod @ the bottom of this post: Hodakaguy's Overland Tacoma Builds - on to new adventures. | Page 5 | Tacoma World

I started to install my OME lift kit this weekend, but realized that my LCAs got seized up with my alignment cams... so I had to cut them out... Kinda wished I discovered the thread about lubricating with anti-seize a little earlier. Now I am waiting for my new LCAs and alignment cams to get here. Tacoma_Jacked_Up.jpg Seized_Up_LCAs.jpg

Woah... is that yellow trimming on the sliders? Is that part of your overall theme or did you do that so you could see them and/or dings on them?

Also, watch out for the trashbag ghost! ;)

Yeah, the yellow trimming on the sliders was mostly for the black and yellow theme I am going for, but it is cool to be able to see where I hit them.

haha, he's there to supervise my work

    Thanks for that!

We tow an all aluminum off-road trailer with the same Toyota 6 way bolt pattern and 285/70/17s (285/75/17s on the truck) and have been looking for a clean way to carry a single spare for both the truck and trailer and that looks like the perfect solution. I could always fit the same spare on the trailer, and if the truck gets a flat a 285/70/17 will get me by in a pinch, at least enough to roll off trail.

Seems an easy re-drill and fix to locate the larger spare under the bed. Does spare fit have any relation to a short bed VS long bed?

Thanks! The smaller light pink is a Japanese Maple (I think) and the larger is a cherry hybrid. Im not sure what types but once the leaves come in that three will have half green and half reddish leaves.

Nice!! I noticed the cherry blossoms in the fender reflection and was very happy to see additional angles as your post progressed. Regardless, beautiful trees! Congrats.

So far so good, I've only driven them around town. I had plans to buy the Copper STMAXX but these were new take offs from a jeep that I basically stole. I'll probably get them in the dirt this weekend.

good play. I ran ST Maxx's for a little while they were ok... they were ok. I dont think id choose them over pretty much any other comparable tire

Very astute observation! After you pointed that out I can see the paper mat on the tray is also in Spanish.

Maybe wheel to the more remote trails and go for a hike? Or wheel to the more remote trail and have a beer and imagine the hike.
