    As someone who owns one...yes.

mine's only a 2014, i'm sure the newer ones are even better. it's a surprisingly easy bike to ride tamely, but man does it have that fun factor when you want it.

I may or may not be cruising close to if not sometimes past triple digits when the freeways are wide open

Glad to hear your buddy is alright, miraculous that he escaped without a scratch!

I'm coming up on 2 years of daily riding now...shocked I haven't had anything but close scares and always on the lookout since I know it's matter of when, not if. For some reasons Friday commutes home always have me one edge...always expecting something bad to happen just as the weekend is starting lol.

finally caught up, man y'all were busy this weekend.

@PhoenixFire and I ended up doing the supermoto day yesterday, was an absolute blast and very informative, as well as confidence inspiring as far as just how much grip tires have. bonus points that they had on the same rubber I just put on my bike lol. Didn't manage to snag too many pics since I never remember to. Definitely would be interested in going to another class again. Dirt portion was a bit hairier since I don't have much dirt experience. The first time around, I managed decently, guy in front of me ate it on a berm and I barely managed to stop before running him over lol. Second session in the dirt, I got a little too confident and sent it straight over a berm on a DRZ400...thumb's a little fucked but otherwise all good. Was a real challenge reminding myself not to touch the back brake...on our first lap around which was just a "follow the leader" lap to get familiar with the track, I used my back brake as well as the front coming into a turn, and broke the rear loose on accident lol. Quite an unsettling feeling but somehow saved it.

They were running primarily DRZs, had a couple of the new KLX300's. Got to test em both out, KLX300 was much easier to ride and smoother, but felt gutless. DRZ was snappy, torquey, and heavier, but felt more fun to wring it out and throw around the curves.

I will admit, I do stop in the middle if I'm the first one at the light because I end up waiting on these things:

I've had too many instances of waiting on the side only for a car to never show up behind me and my light gets skipped. That being said, I watch my mirrors for approaching traffic with the clutch in and in first gear, ready to punch it if the car looks like they're not stopping. I also flash my brake lights several times to grab their attention. Only after they've stopped do I relax (a little) and pay attention to cross traffic, lights, etc.

I’m only riding dirt now, but I used to be involved with extreme long distance riding. Here is my GSA with fuel cell

Awesome!!! Congrats dude, it's beautiful! Between the orange Tacoma and green CB, you've got an awesome lineup there.

NICE! Someone else here now that likes or liked putting in some big miles. Bun Burner Gold, nice ride! Haven't tried on yet but would like to at some point. Have several Saddlesore rides and 2 insanity challenges, the lighthouse and pressed penny rides. Bronze level mile eater cert hanging in my office. My old FJR1300 finished the 2019 IBR. I helped out a BMW rider who suffered catastrophic engine failure on day 10. Participated in several smaller level rallies, Mason-Dixon 20/20 and the Void. Got to compete against some of the big dogs in the game.

Never saw one like that before. Question, I see a black circle where the little bike dude is stenciled on. Is that for the inductive loop sensor to help trigger the traffic light? We have something similar in PA but it's more rectangular. If it's anything like ours you just need to be close to that line in which case you could move over much closer to that yellow line instead of being in the middle. Look into it, it might save your life.

Thank you! Poor truck needs a bath, but we have more weather coming. :(

They're pretty affordable. You should get one!

I'm quite happy. All I've done is load and unload it, and I love it. Gonna take some getting used to after a cruiser, though.

Not after I'd want to do the Rally Raid kit to it

I've still got to buy Rally Raid suspension and an exhaust for my little Rally

Out here in CA, we have both circular and rectangular I've noticed. Whether the bike can trigger it I've noticed is largely dependent on the size of the bike and where you stop relative to that circle/rectangle.

I could never trigger them no matter what on my old XSR700, there were a few lights by my old house where I would just have to run them if there was no one turning with me, or else the lights would never change. On my BMW, I can usually trigger them but have to be at least mostly centered, otherwise it won't pick it up.

Did roughly 100 miles Sunday, 20 of which were gravel sand roads.
