Now that the snow is melting I can pull the locker off the parts truck and get it regeared.

Having two different gear ratios is like a cheat code that unlocks special features. In this case it unlocks fun noises and broken parts.

I am a long ways from crossing that bridge but I appreciate the offer! LS swap is dope but so is a built K motor so we will see. I'm just dreaming. The reality is I've got a lot of work ahead of me to get the truck to my goal this year.

For sure. Way more personal. I sold my step bros 1st gen SC that I rebuild and I pressed the damn pulley on backwards cause at the time it was for him and he was like, don't paint it, don't do shit, just get it done so we can put it on and I was kinda rushing. A week later, he decided he wanted to go a diff route and listed it. The kid who bought was a rookie w cars and I spent a month on phone with him trying to resolve the issue and told him exactly how to take off and put back on and got to the point where I was like, im gonna just fly down to miami, bang this bullshit out and fly home. He listened, got the pulley off in 20 min and all was good. Then he listened to a bunch of idiots on t4r and overfilled it with oil and blew a seal. I was done at that point.

Yeah the 3.91 and 4.10 rears are pretty uncommon, law of averages say you should be good.

I had a CJ7 with a 3.70 ish front and a 4.11 in the rear and it shredded mud but you better not dare lock it in 4 dig on some concrete or it was like a buckin bronco.

I've heard of people running different ratios front to rear in mud. I think some ATVs do that too.

Yeah, it works great in mud cause the rear can do more work. Otherwise, its a horrible idea.

lol. I mean just in 4wd it pushed the front and made it bounce and make chirp noises. It was shitty. One of those truck purchases I regret even as a 17 yr old.
