    Services for sale?

I don't think I'd be able to do it that well myself.

You ever think about the JL vx800/8i? I was noodling on that. Then the 2nd amp can be just mono for the sub, save one enclosure.

Wish they could stuff a 9 channel with 500 for the sub and 100x8 for the rest into a single chassis.

I actually have that set as my next system for the truck. I want to swap everything out for the audiofrog 3 ways with a pair of JL 10 shallow mounts. I will probably keep the audiocontrol DSP as it fits my system designs very well. But I want to build a new box this summer that will hold 2 subs and the amps.

This is the box I want to make, but with only 2 subs

Cool. I would really like to have a single amp for my '16 but can't figure it out. Have cbi widebands and some a pillar pods from coastie ron waiting for me to install, then 6x9 frog midbass also waiting, and a marv sub box and jl subs waiting, all waiting.

The 8 channel seems like the best option but I have the 5 channel already in a box waiting and a separate 5 and a 4 and a mono and a 2 so I really have no clue, no clue at all what I'm doing.

Sure would be nice to have everything in one chassis.

At least I know one of the 5's is the most I can do in my '02 or '05 since they are RC.

I have thought about running a pair of 5 channel amps before. One would run the left side, the other runs the right side, then I control my gains in the DSP.

That's an idea. I've never done subs off separate channels, much less independent amps. I think I'd prefer a 1000/1 sorta setup on the subs and the other side for stereo but mostly I want to minimize chassis space as much as possible. Which means one 5 channel and a pair of passives or two medium sized, one under each seat. Which rules out any 1000w mono amps, they are rather large or very expensive.

This was my original amp setup for my truck, but it was 52 inches wide.
    2 infinity kappa 54a (50x4) and 1 infinity kappa 202a (200x2 or 600x1)
They were amazing sounding amps, just took up way too much space.

Yeah, with class D so mainstream, small really works for me. I love that tiny XD 2 channel.

Here are my old "small" amps. They class A I beleive, but they ran 18w x2 at 4 ohms and 25w x2 at 2 ohms. I have a couple others from this old JBL series too, gtq100 (4 channels version, 18x4) gtq200 ( 25x4/50x4) and even some gth400 with built in DSPs(6 channel, 25x4 and 100x2)

I just used a milwaukee one I use for wood and it turned out just fine. Im sure there is a better saw to use, but the plastic is so thin it cut through in 1 second.

There are tweeters out there that can swivel inside their base, so that you can ain them where you need. I am tjinking about getting some of those.
