That is messed up.. why women get pass in situations like that is beyond me.

My main focus was to keep my gun pointed down range, set it down safely, THEN deal with the problem in a calm manner - freaking out with a gun in your hand never ends well..

I have had casings land on my forearms and burn me a bit, had em land between my boobs - it's gonna leave a mark but nothing too bad

Yeah...this burn on my arm (the one in the picture) is going to definitely leave a scar. It actually looks much worse now than the picture above as the skin has all come off. Honestly it didn't hurt too much when I got it. And, it doesn't hurt much now unless I try to wear my watch.

I will likely NEVER wear a short sleeve shirt again when I fire that Ruger. If you've never shot one...you'd be amazed at how far it will toss brass. I bought an aftermarket gas bushing set that lets you adjust down the gas volume to try to tame it a little bit. It came with 5 different smaller orifice plugs. I put the middle one in. I probably ought to go one smaller and see if it still cycles OK.

Point being...this thing throws brass far enough that at an outdoor range I might end up with one of my casings going down someones shirt or blouse 2 or 3 lanes down the range. That would be embarrassing as hell.

If i shoot SA from the bench at my range, i set a $3 folding laundry basket next to my gun. If I'm standing, I clamp a piece of cardboard to a support post and stand next to it. It's not rocket science, letting hot brass rip at a range is pretty dooshy thing to do. Plus I like to keep my brass.....

I figure getting hit by hot casings is the cost of doin/ business - you shoot enough, it will happen..
I wouldn't be mad at ya

One time I came home and took my hoodie off and had 2 hit the floor and another one fell out a few days later when I put it back on -

I’ve been meaning to pick one up for my cans as well.

we used the same cleaner at an old job of mine, it worked well and never died. Surprisingly it just kept chugging along.

Ah yes, hazard fraught. I'm not convinced any of these cheaper units are any different, they probably roll off the same manufacturing line. Trying to decide if I want to get something more industrial since I got a bunch of brass to clean, but I'd also like to clean some engine parts in there too..

Shoot, my C308 (HK91 clone) leaves a stack of brass 20 feet to the right and 10 feet behind me.

You definitely don't want to be in the lane next to me when I bring my Garand then. After it tosses 8 30-06 casings your way it will ping the clip off your noggin. Injury after insult!

    LOL.
Why I belong to a private gun range. I bet you would "accidentally" sweep up my 10mm brass too.....

Blazer does run clean and reliable in my experience, also can't complain too much about the price. Did you buy from SG?

and an 9mm piece of jagged brass fragment embedded in your forehead makes a great scar lol
We weren't shooting. We made a fire in a fire ring outside of Las Vegas and there was a live round under the ashes. I'll always clean out fire pits from now on.

Damn they’ve got some good prices with the free shipping. Would be ordering more 9mm if I didn’t have 15 boxes showing up tomorrow.
