Ugh, I need to put a new radiator in. I knew I'd be kicking myself for not doing it when I did the hoses a year or so ago. Now I have a case of the don't wannas.

Well my suggestion to drain and fill was because of the condition of the fluid.

When you asked if you should just top it off, I assumed you meant if you should simply top it off and leave it as is.

Top it off as needed, and drain and fill when you can.

Just top it off until you can drain/fill.

Get it up to operating temp and with the engine running pull the dipstick. If it's not within the hot range, add a little at a time - do not over fill.

It's crazy easy and fast to do in the Tacoma.

Replaced the one in mine when the top end tank had split.

Compared to the Land Cruiser, I'd rather do a Tacoma or 4Runner three times over.

Yeah you're right I need to just get on it. Have to fix the hoses the rats got anyway and look to see if they got anything else underneath etc. I was too annoyed to give it a good look over the other day.
    Gotta start ordering some stuff.

Hoses and constant tension clamps to replace "while you're in there"

    Your fan clutch doing alright?

I replaced mine as well with the towing version (green band).
