I just had a hard salary number in my head which worked out to about 18% but yeah, in hindsight I should have bumped it to an even 20 lol. oh well

Haven't gotten an actual raise since right before covid so feels good to finally happen. For those first couple years I just felt lucky to still have a job while everyone around this company (not everyone but a lot) were getting laid off.

 

Congratulations. Was this guy the same one that questioned your choice of rig purchases?

Between you and Ben, lots of good news today. Hopefully that's a good omen for me. The arborist from Evergreen Trree will be here later this afternoon to asses my situation and provide a quote for the fix.

Yeah same guy. He's super cool with me but he's a very wealthy individual that gets the newest top of the line Range Rover every year, so on that topic we are on totally different planets from one another haha.

His grandson was born recently and he was telling me about how Rolex sent him a limited edition Rolex Penguin stuff animal for him, apparently it's super rare and they only give them to their best customers. So that says something about it too lol

He's just hoping that you won't bug him for another 4 years.

 

We bought it for a bit less two years ago so I am happy that we got to where did. It's a local buyer which played in his favor since shipping knocked a few others out.

 

The president of my company drives a 15 year old Sequoia and doesnt dress flashy either. I think that says a lot about how he runs the company.

 

He's retiring any day now, in his 70s and bought his retirement home in Oregon last year. Only comes in a couple weeks a month now, part of the reason I wanted to do this before someone else took over his position that I don't have the same rapport with and could easily have a harder time getting a raise from
