    This is Bandelier National Monument, in Frijoles Canyon near Santa Fe. It’s the ruins of a civilization going back over 11,000 years. The Anasazi people (The Ancient Ones) were the predecessors for many of the modern tribes still in existence.
    They chose this particular canyon because it has a unique ecosystem with diverse plants and wildlife that gave them food, clothing and medicine.
