Finally got around to putting new trans and engine mounts in my '03. Driver's side mount came apart entirely when I took it out.

Did you have copper in your fluid? Or were the lines rusted out?

Been poking at little interior/driveability stuff about the truck that has bothered me. Replaced both window cranks and slider hardware and replaced the ball socket side mirrors with the updated larger aftermarket foldaway ones.

I have a tilt column and some other parts on the way to keep moving things in a more comfortable direction

I picked up a set recently since I'm going over to full heim steering. They're super nice. Heavy and beefy which I like about them. I'm also replacing the bolts with ARB bolts for extra strength and peace of mind.

Which heim steering kit will you be using? I haven't found anyone that makes an inner and outer heim, and steering besides Solo, which uses their own LBJ design.

I got the inner clevis mount from Dirt King Fabrication. I went through Kartek for the FK Hiems, misalignment spacers, and custom chromoly links.

I do recommend dry fitting everything before you order the links. You'll be able to measure for the length you need then.

Thanks. Labor of love and learning as I go. Been super fun. Tomorrow is day 3 of cure so full re assembly. Can't wait to see it all together (and the new problems I've developed haha)

What 63 kit are you planning to use?
I think I've settled on this one

Maybe add a plate on the front hanger like the ruffstuff one has for added beef.
I like that it comes with new flip bolts and plates to fit the extra width. Not that grinding down the leafs is an issue it's just not a desirable task.

Really wish Eric at @ARCHIVE has some shock towers and bottom tabs for sale *cough cough* so I could run that setup again. I really liked it.

I'm doing the Ruff Stuff Ideal 63 kit. But I'm also doing their U-bolt eliminator leaf perches.

Goes along nicely with the Ruff Stuff 9.5 custom axle housing.

The leafs are 63s from a 1 ton utility truck. It's a 5 pack. So, hopefully through process of elimination I'll figure out how many leafs will work for me... but they will 100% definately be strong enough for the weight.

Speaking g of 9.5 inch Ruff Stuff housing...

This wasn't my favorite thing... but it's done.

Tapped 10 holes in 3/8 plate... Helicoil... now the bolts fit.
