Do you need all that gear for the Beach Use permit? Haven't been in a while, still remembering when I moved to NC 32 years ago. Drive out on the beach at all ramps, no permits, no Piping Plovers, etc..... Same @Fort Fisher. Permit needed for beach access. Just don't turn on your lights at the Point.

Yeah, I am starting to wish I had done the same now. At first, I was like "Why do I need to pay someone else to do this. I have all the tools and knowledge..." My consolation to myself is at least I'll know have a better understanding of my truck if something breaks

Does this part works by itself? or do you need the complete intake to make a difference?

I have the trd air filter and air flow accelerator. But it probably will work by itself too.

Just recently installed the Diode Dynamics HitchMount LED Pod Reverse Kit. Went with the one that strobes the brake light, as well. The hardest part was cutting those two tabs so I can put the hitch pin through it and lock it in. Very happy with it so far. I've seen a lot of comments on youtube videos saying the strobe doesn't always work. If they would have read the instructions, they would have seen that there is an 8 second delay until it will strobe again when braking.

    Just recommend.
Watched a guy’s truck burn up years ago, fire extinguisher would have probably saved the day. Only been stuck once where I needed the shovel.
They were the good old days at Ft. Fisher

I went the long way about doing it. Have a small Dremel disc that has been worn down. Used that to go right up against that circle on the tab. Then checked fit with the pin and got it so the pin fits snugly into and out of it.

I plan on doing this also. However... I am not sure what size pin I need. What size does the truck require?

It’s pretty bright. If I remember correctly, 1,000 lumens. Not the brightest, but still a significant difference. I have that and the VLEDs license plate light. Between those two, I have a lot more light now.
I drive in Chicago on I90, 294, 80 and 55 every night for UPS. The brake lights and turn signals on these trucks aren’t the most noticeable lights compared to other cars and trucks. For that reason I like the strobing brake light and also installed the stage 1 kit that changes the whole red light to a brake light and puts the turn signal in the reverse light area. Very noticeable now.

It fits perfectly and there is no sloppiness or extra length like others I’ve tried.

Thanks for that. I have a fairly long dark driveway and I'm looking for something to shine a bit of light. Already upgraded the reverse bulbs but need some light thrown a little further.
