I had no idea so many of you ran this thing maybe I’m rarted but I didn’t see many threads about it if any. I see it’s thicker but isn’t this just as susceptible to folding over those cam tabs as let’s say total chaos cam tab gussets? Or do they give you the option to just run solid bolt and do all your adjustment from the UCA?

Only thing JDFab has done is weld on my spindle gussets since I was picking them up from them and it was easy to let Harry do his magic. Everything else was done by myself and my good friend/welder buddy @Yotamac

I am seriously on the fence about having them do the whole 9 yards on the front and replace my current LT with their 4 inch over.
After install inspection was like magic...the weld quality was crazy and the whole after install zip tie, paint and cleaning up all my wires and brake lines and such the detail was amazing!

I can say with the JDFab LT kit I have I set my alignment once in the beginning bolted up the cam tabs and have never knocked it out of alignment since. Between them using uniballs instead of bushings plus the slide rack my alignment never moves. Prior to that I had to do alignments after every off-road trip.

I’ve installed a few sets of the jd subframe. It’s a nice kit, once you’re happy with the alignment they have a setting bolt to lock the alignment in.

Thay said for my personal truck I have just gussets the crap out of the stock mounts. Similar to what dirt designs offers. Been beating the crap out of mine for years without issue. I’m sure if 454 is gonna gusset the stock mounts and then solid mount the alignment the you’ll be fine. Just saw those stock non-gusseted lca mounts in the first post and thought I’d chime in haha

The way we incorporated my frame chop and bumper into the JD kit. If I folded it, I wrecked the truck.

I had the dirt designs reinforcement and the Quixotic cam delete (they are beefy) done a few years back and still going strong and I feel like Ive pushed the truck pretty hard since, I sheared a lower spindle bolt a while back LOL, the JD is probably the end all bullet proof reinforcement mod

I’ll second the help from @Yotamac

I have more somewhere in the JD thread on the slide rack and all the other JD goodies too if you need any more.

I have the lower control arm sub frame mounts as well plus. The one thing to point out over just reinforcing the existing tabs is. The material thickness, the plates are also tied into much more of the frame (they extend much higher) the additional vertical plate at the front, the horizontal plates and how they are all tied into the tube. The stock tabs just hang down on their own waiting to be destroyed. It shocks me that we have other well known companies producing fabricated lower arms and bolt them to the stock mounts. The LCA mount from JDFab was an absolute must before doing any other single item.

I've installed many LPK's from JD on a bunch of customer trucks, as well as twice on my own, with the new frame. Obviously the strength is good, but with a tonne of gussetting, I'm sure you could make the stock pivots just as strong. Their kit is awesome for moving the wheels forward, but your LT already does that anyway.

My favourite part about the kit though is the extra high clearance skid plate. I haven't seen any skids on the market that come close to the extra clearance. It's around 1.5-2" more, which is basically like going from a 35 to a 39" tire.

I also have the slide rack, but I'm selling it if anybody is interested.
