    I would not have the great group of friends that I currently have were it not for an amazing woman named Joyce Harding, who founded a nonprofit organization called The Coffeehouse Center of Bucks County. Everybody just called it The Coffeehouse, and it was a club for young adults with Aspergers Syndrome and PDD-NOS between the ages of 17 and 24. If they liked you, the age limit was overlooked, as there were members older than 24 and at least one in her 30s; I became a member in January 2009 at the age of 19, and unfortunately The Coffeehouse lost its funding in 2010. Joyce was forced to give control to a service provider called Family Service Association that was run by a bunch of bureaucratic asshole. Joyce and her people didn't let just anybody into the group, but the standards became much lower when FSA took control and a bunch of rather undesirable members were granted access. Some of these were just lower-functioning autistic individuals, but a good number of them had significant mental problems that went way beyond Autism Spectrum Disorder. Joyce left in early 2010, and most of the inaugural group members were gone before the end of 2010. The majority of us had driver's licenses and our own vehicles, so we didn't need The Coffeehouse to meet up anymore...

    @Stitchgirl90

    The Coffeehouse was open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays; Halloween fell on a Saturday in 2009, so that's when we had the Halloween party.

    I got my learner's permit for the first time in December 2005 if I remember correctly (I know that I was still 16), but I unknowingly let it expire and didn't get a new one until August 2009 (when I was 20). My parents bought me the Tacoma on September 30th, 2009.

    I debuted my Tony Soprano costume at the Coffee House in 2009; I only had my learner's permit when these pictures were taken in October 2009, and as such I could not drive without a licensed driver in the vehicle, so my dad went with me and dropped me off. We had owned the Tacoma for just a few hours shy of 31 days when my dad took these pictures en route to the Coffeehouse, and the truck had probably 650 miles on it at the time. My truck had 20 miles on the odometer when we bought it, and as of this post it has over 167K miles!

    Once at the Coffeehouse, I came across a vehicle far more appropriate than a Toyota Tacoma for someone masquerading as a TV mob boss. My friend Taylor's mom took my picture in her 2008 Cadillac CTS (again, this was 2009, so the car was only a year old)...

    From right to left we have me, Taylor (the one whose mom let me use her CTS for the photo op), and my best friend John (Joyce's son)...

    Amanda's ex was very controlling and possessive of her, despite the fact that their romantic life was nonexistent; Amanda wanted to be with me, and to show that I wasn't taking shit from anybody including her ex, I started taking her out on dates while she was still living in an apartment with her ex and three other people. For more than two months after we started dating, I had to drive up to New Jersey to pick her up.

    Her boyfriend has acted like a tough guy and used his size to intimidate people into giving him what he wanted. Also stated above, the ex is a convicted felon and I've never been arrested, so I could defend myself and not get in any legal trouble; I weight 282 pounds and he weighs about 600, and again he is a convicted felon...

    They were on the outs and, without going into detail, hadn't done anything intimate or otherwise romantic in over a year by the time I reconnected with her. By the time we started dating, it had been over two years.

    that’s my daily beater for the time being, so not really. It will likely get replaced with a Tesla sometime down the road because we get free charging at work. You in need of a vehicle?

    My Tacoma is ready to go another 150K miles, but Amanda needs something affordable and reliable; I'm in the process of teaching her to drive a stick shift, and an Accord would be perfect for her. You seem like you're pretty good about routine maintenance, so I'd rather she buy from someone I trust like a TW buddy than some used car lot...

    I understand where you are coming from.
    But the whole “convicted felon” thing doesn’t mean anything.
    You’re either in the right, or in the wrong, regardless of someone’s criminal history.

    Not that I think you have anything to worry about.
