I don’t live in that area but I’ve worked up there off and on for the last fifteen years or so. Lots of nice people there. Kind of a laid back place.

Anyone interested in a deal on set of Yokohama Geolandar MT G003?
    295/70-18.
About 7,000 miles on them. They run bit over 34" tall. I'm going to have to drive more for work than I was a year ago when I got them so I want to swap to some A/Ts.

Related, I also have a set of OEM Tundra 18" wheels with sensors and tires mounted. These tires are 285/70-18 Firestone A/T with some life left but not a lot. Measured about 7 or 8 32nd of tread.

Any of you guys have ideas on why the AC works sometimes and not others? I can press the button and sometimes it lights up and other times it doesn’t. When it doesn’t I can hit the control panel a time or two and it will work. Also fan speed doesn’t seam to work like it should.

Considering I can hit the panel and get it to work better, I think that’s the problem. Also anyone know where I can get one? Would like to avoid the dealer if I can.

If it's like my 05 taco did, pull the panel that has the 3 knobs and carefully pull apart the fan speed dial. Mine had debris that was causing poor contact on the copper rail as the knob was turned. Clean well with rubbing alcohol on a q-tip then smear a layer of electrical grease on the copper rail. Careful not to lose the plastic ball and spring from the knob. This is what makes it feel like it clicks into place at each setting. Also be very careful not to pry tabs too far that they break during disassembly. If tabs break, you lose pressure on the copper contacts.

Basic issue is bad contact of fan knob makes system not know if fan is on or off. You can try jiggling fan knob next time to see if it makes a difference before you do the work I described above.

Ok I’ll try thank, Thanks! It’s an ‘07 so likely could be same problem.

Edit: considering smacking or hitting the controls usually fixes the problem for a bit. I don’t think it’s another part of the system. But I guess it could be?:notsure:

@totmacher you may be on to something man! Noticed this as soon as I pulled it out and the parts of the tabs fell in my hand before I even unplugged it. Going to take it about to clean it and see if it helps any. I circled where they broke off from.

If you hold the pieces together where the tabs broke so internal parts have pressure, does it work then?

Junkyard, pullapart, lkq, etc may have one.
