I’ll be more than happy to assist you in diagnosing it.
Do you have a Test Light or a Voltage meter?

It’s a manual but I’ll grab a clutch starter switch see if that works

I would not buy anything yet.
Go down to the starter and see if you have power to the small black/white wire while cranking.
Also check the big black wire. It should have power all the time.

Lights dimming while trying to start usually indicates a weak battery. How old is it? I'd also try jump starting even though you have power, might need just a little bit more to get her going.

Putting a meter on the battery while cranking would give us general idea on the state of the battery.

Surely OP tested the battery before replacing the starter?

You have lights (because they dim) so there at least some power in the battery. My first move would be checking voltage at the battery, you said 13v. That is usually good. I'd confirm that you have the SAME voltage that you measure across the battery at the main fuse box under the hood (the one that feeds the vehicle).

Check that one by placing the positive probe on the main lug where the box is getting power from the battery positive cable. You can use the negative battery lug for ground. There should be no voltage loss here, if there is you have either a bad connection (corrosion, loose, etc) or bad wire from the battery to the box. I have seen vehicles measure 12 or 13v at the battery measure 3 or 4v here....enough to power lights but not nearly enough to kick an engine over.

Corroded and loose connections at the battery could definitely play a factor.

You don’t typically see a voltage drop unless you’re testing under a load.

    Agreed.

Or if there is an issue such as a bad connection.

Check the condition of your battery terminals.

While checking the battery terminals is good advice.
One would think OP had to have looked at them when he dissected the batter to replace the starter.
Unless he didn’t disconnect the battery?

Thank you everyone turns out it was the clutch safety switch was not engaging due to the plastic plunger breaking off
