I would recommend leaving the lowest stud out, drilling it out, and welding a nut on the inside and using that as a drain port.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Still up in the air on how I'm going to do it.

I hear ya, and I've thought about it. I have the drain bung and the oversized fill/inspection cap/bung.

Still figuring what I want though.

***Edit*** With the hole Helicoiled I could just run the bolt in from the outside in to the helicoil. I don't think I would even need a nut on the inside with the helicoil.

Oh shit that's right you're gonna have one hell of a sexy rear end.

I like the idea of the 1ton leafs. i think the 1/2 ton 4x4 ones are a 4 pack with an overload. i like more options for sure.

Will that eliminator kit work on our stock axles? i can't recall what the diameter of our housing tubes are.
EDIT: found they have a bunch of different sizes. nothing about the leaf spring width though.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

The listings for their Ubolt Eliminators call out for 2.5 wide leafs. Which should be right for 63s.

The more I think about it. The more I like this idea. One less thing I have to cut out and weld (drain bung). And one less thing that can potentially drag or hang up. I could just use the lowest bolt as the drain plug. It would probably take a while to drain through there, but at least that's a 10mm bolt. More time to drink a beer while I wait for the oil to drain I guess.

I am sorry to bother everyone, but does anyone have any ideas for what to use to cover thinning paint on the top of the tailgate that is slowly being worn away by the seal from the camper shell rear door? It's down to the primer on both sides. Trying to think of something that will stick but that won't tear the paint off when removed--some sort of vinyl or rubber tape maybe that will protect the remaining paint in the couple of inches that are exposed to the camper shell rear window seal. Anyone else run into this problem?

Odd. Haven't run into this issue before. Is that cap made for your truck? Either way, maybe add a THIN layer of foam or EPDM tape to the inside of the existing seal on the cap door? I say thin because if its too thick, doors will not latch properly. I'd affix it to the seal rather than the tailgate surface.

This is merely an example but should give you an idea what I'm suggesting.

On second thought, maybe not that specific product but something similar.

Maybe hit up a vinyl wrap place. Maybe a 3m clear or white strip doubles up for thinkness or they have something more industrial strength… just a though

    Changed out ITREs today.

Can confirm cheap assed Proforged ITREs will take serious abuse for 4+ years.

I got the ones on rock auto but from Amazon or ebay. Ebay I think. Fairchild is the co if I remember correctly. They are exactly like oem and makes door shut tight as fuck. I think it was $113 for all 4 frame seals. The big ones.

Added the icon expansion pack in the rear. Shop left the overload. It’s got a nice rake. You guys think it’s too much? I ordered new bilsteins to accommodate the roughly 2 inch lift gained. Front is only leveled. Thoughts?
