Re: work boots, I just picked up a fresh pair of Thorogoods, my 2nd and maybe the first time I've ever bought the exact same pair of work boots year after year. I love these boots. Amazon had them quite a bit cheaper than everywhere else but I've finally found a boot that I have no pain being on my feet all day.

@Hunterdc1 any comments on the competitions Launch of the Falcon Heavy? Also, would your company be as happy with a “rapid unscheduled disassembly?”

Cool to see, hard to imagine seeing it in person. Latest rumor after them going full stop on construction at 39A is that they want to build a whole new pad and also make 40 Crew capable. They need redundancy, rn if they bring Starship to 39A and blow it up they've destroyed their ladder to the Space Station.

Have you ever thought about getting custom rebuildable boots?

I have a pair of White's. I won't say they are not expensive, but they last for years and years and are very comfortable. There are other custom makers out there as well. You'll spend 3x of what you paid for the Thorogoods. But they will likely last three times as long or more. And they are made to fit YOUR Feet, not thousands of feet. I wore mine regularly for ten years. Though I don't wear mine every day anymore, I've had them for nearly 20 years, and they are still good boots.

I, too, have two pairs of Whites. One black and one brown. Those are the best damn boots I've ever had.

Well, 2 clunkers in 3 days, things are looking up...? :notsure:
New Holland LS 45, built by Toro/Wheel Horse.

    KIMG3009.jpg

This one I had to pay for (but not much). Quite a chore to come-a-long on the trailer with 3 flat tires, wheel weights and chains. :ballchain:
The Makita impact made removing the weights EZ, took the chains off too.

    KIMG3014.jpg

Young fellow said the deck was junk -- he told the truth.

    KIMG3016.jpg

    KIMG3017.jpg

Two tires hold air, the other two held long enough to get off the trailer.

I put the (alleged to be bad) battery from the Husqvarna in (been charging) and it started right up on the varnish smelling gas in the tank.

The engine and hydro were both low on oil, it seems to move after a fashion, tough to do much on 2 flats.

Where does the space go... :annoyed:

Have you ever thought of installing a cheap winch on you’re trailer?

    Good morning everyone. Happy Friday!

@Cwopinger , congrats on finally getting to hold the grandbabies! She couldn’t be cuter in that pic!!

As for the Starship RUD and the folks Hunter works for, two different design and development processes. NASA, being a government entity, takes years longer than SpX to get a rocket that’ll have a high probability of success. They can’t afford not to.

SpX on the other hand is a private company that can rapidly iterate designs to get a rocket that might just be good enough. Thats what we saw yesterday and with the early Falcons. Hopefully for Starship, the end result will be the same.

The Falcon 9, after difficulties in getting the landing correctly and a couple RUDs, is a remarkable, mostly reusable rocket that is revolutionizing access to space.
