Ready to pull the trigger on some tires while I can still get some cash for the stockers. I have read so many threads on tires I'm dizzy but think I've settled on these two. May see some light wheeling but changing more for looks than function at this point. When I do wheel it's in the 4Runner... Thanks

The reason you've read so many threads on this topic and these two tires is that they are exactly the same, the ride, the performance, and it's really just up to your personal preference. This thread is made here daily, usually by a new member, but you've been here a little while. This question is right up there with, what's the largest tire size I can run on a stock 3rd Gen TRD Off-Road.

Snow rating on the Wildpeaks made me buy them. Does it snow where you drive?

Actually I just asked for help deciding. Didn't ask which was better but thanks. I kinda knew I get flamed for even asking but oh well

Not where I live but we do drive up to the snow about 10 times a year.

You're not asking for which is better, but if it's just for looks, that is an entirely personal decision, why ask here and then get flamed for it, if that's the term you want to use, I was just mentioning that this sort of question comes up every single day and is just adding to the threads the next person looking for a set of tires has to read.

I'm genuinely not being a jerk here, you're asking a question that is entirely personal to you and you alone.

That would put me in the wildpeaks then. If I never drove in snow I'd run the ridgegrapplers for looks.

They both work fine. Which one has a cooler sidewall?

    Work in progress...
Yeah, I bought the KO2's since I live out in the desert. What do you know, this winter I ended up in Ogden Utah driving through rain, sleet, snow and who knows what? I didn't even know that the KO2's I bought had the snowflake on them. These tires sure wouldn't have been my first pick if I had know where I would be going with them. Up there in Utah you are not even legal to drive on some routes, certain times, if you don't have the snowflake rating on the tire. So anyway, something to think about. I love the look of the Wildpeaks. I went with KO2's because of all the sharp rocky trails out here in the Sonoran where I live.

Yeah I have KO2's on my 4Runner and I'm definitely not putting those on the truck. I don't hate the KO's like some people do but I wanna try something else

I have only seen both tires in pics online but judging by that I think the Grapplers do...

I had the Exo Grapplers on my old Wrangler. Even more of an A/T than the Ridge. Great performing, but man were they loud. That’d be my biggest concern with the Nittos.

Ridge Grapplers are very quiet for the first 20K miles. After that they get louder. Nothing that annoyed me after I turned the stereo up.

As far as snow goes. The RG's are M+S rated and they do excellent in snow. Ok on ice. The best tire I've run in snow and ice is the Toyo AT III though. Truly impressive performance wheeling, snow, mud, sand, ice. I've only got about 15K on them but I can safely say my next set of tires will be AT III's.

Those look super aggressive for AT. I like them! How do they ride and how’s the noise ?

You are going to hate me but I have not mounted them yet.. I am pushing the last 16th of thread life on the oem ones just for fun I guess… they will be done i about 3-4 months.. I found a great $200 off coupon on eBay for tires and pulled the trigger a bit early I guess..

I had the wildpeaks and liked them. I was going to go with the ridge grappler for my next set but decided to go with the mickey thompson baja boss at and couldn't be happier.
