Won't be fun where you live that's for sure. They're spendy even on the mainland.

May prove difficult without the frame.

If you do have the frame, cheaper to hit a TAP plastics or similar vendor/business and have a piece of plexi cut to fit the frame.

If the local cap dealer can order a complete one they will and it'll be costly. You'll need to provide them with the serial number (look inside the cap for the plate).

Looks wasted to be honest, might not be salvagable. :(

Those frameless back windows/doors are the worst. Very costly!

Hell, my Leer100r it was like 600 I believe for a replacement frame/glass. My frame was mangled and worthless. Leer had told the supplier it would have to be a special order replacement since the frame was no longer in production.

I’m gonna skip it then, if it’s still for sale and I can call the leer dealer on the other island and they can help maybe but sourcing this on my own seems like I’d rather buy a shitty painted one than one with a broken glass

Could always get the pic of the frame to a plastics shop and ask what can be done. Really hard to tell from a pic of course but if it saves you cash and you really like the look of the cap... :notsure:

I mean the whole point of wanting a cap is so I can go take naps on my lunch break at work lol. 1/3 of it open won’t fly unfortunately. If it’s still for sale tomorrow when I can get a price for a replacement from the local leer dealer I’ll go grab it

If you go look at it in person, check the frame carefully. If it can be put back properly and without issue, good chance you can have plexi cut without a problem or you could probably adapt something yourself.

Its a judgement call and a tough one at that. Finding a decent cap takes forever these days.

Definitely cutting your own plexi for that back. Start of the pandemic was when I totaled my back window. Like I said, special order item. Dealer said I was lucky. If back can take a plexi cut, do it! Can always rattle can it. More than a few threads on TW about refurbing a cap.

    Good luck!

for sure dude. It’s actually surprising how much I’m noticing they are for sale. I will get one and it’s gonna live on my single cab, and I don’t really care about that gap

Cylinder #2 started misfiring on me the other day. I’m feeling pretty lucky that it was just a failed plug boot. I couldn’t have asked for an easier fix, plus Napa honored their Wired for Life warranty.
