I'm 99.9% sure the stock switch is the same as the many used 2007-2020 Tundra switches on eBay. I just picked one up for a 2007 Tundra for $27 and put it on my 2022 Tacoma sport Access Cab. P/N 191648 seems to be the same on the Tacoma and Tundra.

It's a standard AC brake only light (no bed illumination). I'll be using the switch for lights in the bed itself.

    Thanks!
Interesting so you run the wires from the bed light to which wires off the switch? I have the correct switch as well. My light is already mounted I just need the correct panel. Which I still don’t have. Thanks for the reply’s

Very simple on the later years of Gen3's access cabs. They already have the wiring in place from factory from cab dash panel to the rear taillight locations, in addition to the relay mentioned in this thread I think. No wires needed to be run. Just pop the switch in the blank spot in the cab, plug the harness plug in, then install your bed lights after removing the blanks and connect using the included 1' harnesses in the light kit.
You can find some good videos of the whole process on YouTube also.
Tested out tonight. Works properly in all switch positions. I'm not worrying about the 3rd brake light at this point..

Some versions of TACO's have a missing wire from the Engine Bay (EB1) to the Cab Cargo Lamp Relay.

Interesting. Good to know. I took a chance after observing that my factory plug harness had a wire in each position that the plug has an electrical contact. Maybe lucky I guess. Something about 2020+ having everything necessary but not the earlier 2016-2019? Don't trust me though. My memory for thinking I heard something is bad. (Just ask my wife..)

Mines a 2019. I’ll run wires. I know there are no “blanks” in the bed.

You "could" add the missing wire(s)
    upload_2023-3-24_13-45-47.jpgupload_2023-3-24_13-53-39.jpg
    upload_2023-3-24_13-52-46.jpg
Or just run the missing wire to the Cargo Relay output:
    upload_2023-3-24_17-10-29.jpg
Press retainer to release relay block
    upload_2023-3-24_17-13-12.jpg
    upload_2023-3-24_17-21-26.jpg
If there's a need to have higher amp lights then a relay set up can be added and the BLUE (L) wire having this added circuit in parallel with the Cargo Switch.

Thanks. It helps. Still need a panel to accept the cargo light switch. Damn sr5 with none of the extras except 4x4.

I’m amped to try this. Just ordered one for $35. Wa better than the OEM one for over 100. Now just hoping I get lucky with it all plug and play.

With 2021 AC you should be good. I also went with plug and play China lights in the bed. Quite bright. For dash switch and lights it's an 8 sip beer job.

My panel came from a 2021 wreck. 200 bucks for an operational cargo light.
    I need psychiatric help.

Are you saying the blank in my SR can’t be removed for the switch. I thought it was just a blank filler.
