Alright so here is my situation. I have a 2002 DC TRD 4 x4 with 121k miles bone stock with new tires and brakes. Im really wanting to buy a new tacoma at the end of the year and would like to save up a hefty down payment to get payments where I want them to be. In order to do so, Im considering selling my tacoma and get a little gas saver for the summer (since winter is ALMOST over, atleast I hope). That way I have no monthly payment and save a shit load on gas for the time being.

Thus, having said that, what do you think I should list my truck for, price wise? Its in good shape, no rust besides rear bumper. Needs nothing. Just wanted to get a general consensus from you guys before I put a price on it.

    Thanks!

Yea, I live in Ohio so 4WD are pretty popular here, they seem to be even more popular in California & Hawaii. Anyways, I tried KBB and have a general idea from that, but you have to go by market value a lot of times with the way things work...and ive tried to look up other tacomas on craigslist my way and they are very hard to find. Thus, what do you guys think is the absolute most I could get out of it..and do you think ebay would be a good option?

Little less miles then yours, but they typically sell for 2-4K over their KBB private party around here (Seattle, Wa)

I looked at a red DC w/115K a couple weeks ago and it ended up selling for $13,500, non TRD.

So do you think 13,500 would be a fair starting price? and then go down from there?

If it were me I would look up KBB private party for your truck and list it 2-3K above the kbb value. These trucks hold their value like nothing else I've seen. The worst that can happen is no one buys the truck. Start high and work your way down. That being said, 13,5 seems like a fair starting price for your truck.

My last truck sold in a day, and I have always thought that I priced it too low.

Yeah, here in Seattle you will find trucks just like your's for $15-$20k all day, regardless of mileage most of the time. I would do at least $15 or $14.5K as a starting point.
