Going to put them in the rear, paired with a Dirt King 3.5” kit. 1.5” should work fine?

I also have a pair of 1.5” wheel spacers if anyone’s interested.

that or 2” pairs good with 3.5” LT. I even tan 1.25” for years and the look didn’t bother me.

Don’t see why not since mine were used on a DMZ kit

I ripped one of the cam tabs off the jd lower kit hitting a g out at jv last year, didn’t do any other damage. Pretty sure I would of torn the factory mounts off if I hadn’t upgraded…
now I have heims on my uppers and locked out my adjustments with chromoly plates. Also on 3/4” bolts all around.

Dirt King frame plating kit is on, as well as the BTF bypass hoops. Also attached are the pics of the gussets 454 came up with. They look really stout to me. I’m happy with how they’re turning out, and if I bend or break them I’ll come back and say I was wrong and you told me so.

I push the truck hard, might jump it a time or two, but I don’t think my typical use will break these.

Yeah that will do for sure. Way more than I’ve got for mine and mine have held up to all of my abuse.

    Hey Guys,
Just thought Id chime in here.
Have 0 issues with the JD subframe. Super nice piece for sure and alot easier install than the gusseting being done currently. 2 main reasons I/ we didnt go that route.
    1) Timeframe - truck is already here, torn apart. Didnt want to wait for the subframe to ship and get here in order to be able to start mounting and cycling the kit.
    2) I really wanted to completely get rid of the slotted holes for the alignment on the lowers. Kit we are installing gets aligned from the UCA. My thought process is the LCA cant get knocked out of alignment at all if theres not a slotted hole for it to move in. Also as a side note, by getting rid of the alignment cams in here, the LCA will have a 3/4"-16 bolt in the front pivot and a 5/8"-18 (iirc) bolt in the rear pivot. Both of which will be gr8 and properly shanked.

Would have been nice to replace the stock LCA pivots with 1/4" steel but Im pretty confident that the route we are going will hold up. If im wrong then ill chop it all off (including subframe as my guess is that will be FUBAR too) and do it again with JDs subframe or some other option.

Need some realistic opinions, so do I stay at 37s or go to 39 projects(bad idea? as I'm on a 3.5 kit?) seems like 37s are the new 35 lol

39s meh 40 or 42s minimum!!! I would be afraid 39s would to hard on drivetrain and associated hardware. I know @DTFtacoma is mobbing around on 39s with his 2nd gen taco. So far so good for him.

Yep only problem is stock drivetrain everything else has steering wise is beefed up and firewalls etc, i just saw a few people running 39s plus the projects are about 3/4 inch different over all compared to the 37 toyos i have.

Stock rear axle still too? Definitely stay 37’s if so unless it’s a mall crawler.

I like that plan haha. For reference I abuse my stuff pretty hard. Stock rear end with 4.56’s lasted about 1.5yrs with the 37’s before grenading. But I play hard in the rocks and desert. Probably would have lasted 3months with bigger tires. As much as I want bigger tires for playing in the rocks I will probably stop here at the 37’s

my 4.88s lasted me a year after going to 37s  but I like to think it was caused by a bent driveshaft right before going to 37s swithing to projects thou toyos are heavy.... the more I think of it why was I even thinking of 39s LOL but I mainly stick to desert im 2wd so rocks aren't as easy.

Does going from a 37 to a 39 really help that much for just desert? You'll just have less power to the ground, worse acceleration, and more unsprung weight. For rocks I get it, and thats why I'm putting 39's on my truck, but for just desert I think a lot of guys run 37s for a reason unless they have a tonne of power.

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
You do have a solid point on the power available but
In a truck with a different power plant; yes, the vehicle having bigger tires makes the holes smaller
Some of the whoops can be 2-4 ft deep in some cases
