I’ve google for hours with no luck.

    Thanks.

    Lake Isabella
    Lake Crowley
    Fiesta island
    Pismo beach
    Lake Havasu
    Salton Sea (stinks)
    Lake Mead
    Lake Mohave
    Shaver Lake
Grant Lake (June Lake Loop Area)

Lake Crowley is a beautiful spot. There are several spots you can drive right up to the lake and camp. Right now it’s still under a few feet of snow though.

It’s one of the lake you can visit to camp or etc. I haven’t been to Crowley yet, but from google it looks pretty nice. Maybe nicer than Isabella.

Lake Isabella is a little risky with mud, especially because right now it’s the highest it’s been in years and fluctuating quite a bit do to the rain this winter.
Pismo beach is probably the only beach in CA you can still drive on and I think it will end up closing soon sadly

Isabella has been nice this spring with the wild flowers but it will soon be very dead and yellow again DBEBF8FA-27CD-463B-A075-A18B7E3B1062.jpg

Yeah, Most place would be risky with mud after the rain. I usually wait about a month after the rain to go. The best thing after the rain season is lots of flower & plants.

mojave desert after the rain (2weeks ago), very colorful comparing to the summer/winter season.

Pismo might be closing? Any reason why? But I’ll do some research to find out.

There a several places around the lake that you can access the beach. Pull up google maps and the roads are easy to see. A couple I would only do with a 4x4.

It is well worth the trip. Lake Crowley is only 1 of many awesome spots in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Once you go you’ll want to return.

300 miles from where I’m at, not bad of a drive. I’ll add to the list. Thanks.

Salton Sea. It stinks though, dead fish and shells form the "beach". Not for everybody, but a weird place to visit.

I never heard of that place before. Did a quick google search and it seems pretty bad, but that was a long time ago. How bad is it now?
