Camp location GPS coordinates are in post #1.

We usually air down in front of Loggers Station House:
https://maps.app.goo.gl/kCJR77V7wzXvgMFi7 Then it's in 4x4 to the camp site.

I'll probably roll into camp around 2:30

Got that third gen leak? Time for a tundra rack? Believe they are no welding or cutting now since they have those offset bushings.

part way through my New Mexico/Texas trip i noticed the boots were wet and the fluid level was down. i probably added a 1/4 of a quart over a week and a half which included a lot of wheeling going lock to lock on the steering so its not leaking bad. the level barely moves during highway travel.

i rolled back into my driveway last week with 57k kms on the clock so i made a dealer appointment while its still under warranty. best case they replace it free and worst case they tell me to pound salt due to bigger tires and lift and hand me a $170 diagnostic bill and tell me... yep your rack is leaking.

in the meantime i did reach out to basikbiker here on TW for a Tundra rack with the eccentric bushings and impaler (shortened steering shaft) which essentially makes it bolt on now. if i can get it in time (he said 4+ weeks) probably try to throw it in while i install the JD LCA kit which i haven't done yet. thats gonna have to be sometime after Ardbeg now at this point.

Best route honestly. Your truck is going to be awesome after those two things.

I was heavily contemplating the rack but with the future of a possible sas I didn’t want to fork the money….dumb since I’ll most likely blow through so many stock racks and could have just bought the upgrade. Will see. The stock rack lasted over 200k with 30-50k on 35’s.

didn’t do the rack install. Can’t thank me for that one lol.

I would not worry about spending on things that upgrade the truck before sas. I'm sure there is someone that wants a deal on parts when you take them off....

^What, never seen a Wrangler plug-in hybrid before?

It'll be interesting to see this thing wade through the deeper puddles in Ardbeg :)

my bet is it will stay at base camp. There is no way the owner will take that on the trails.
