I may have missed a post but has anyone confirmed that the newest version fits both the 3rd Gen Tacoma 2016-2023 and the 5th Gen 4Runner 2014-2023?

They are two different products. Very similar but they are different cuts and bends.

    Update:
I got my V2 and installed them two days ago. I'm very happy with the build quality. Cali raised was fast with their response and worked with me hassle free. No rattle. No vibrations. No more stress.

    IMG_20230414_161411_01.jpg

    Feedback:
The driver side shield cleared the cat and needed some convincing to be put in place. It seemed slightly over corrected and I bent it in place as I tightened the bolts. Resulting in being flush with the frame. The cat shield touches the cross bar and it was a balancing act with holding shield placement, cross bar and tools.

    PXL_20230415_001504632.jpg

Following this thread I was worried about the cat shield hitting the drive shaft. I bent it using my body weight and a vice clamp increasing spacing for 9 mm to about 12 mm. All in all it clears and I did some light off roading in 4hi. No contact at all.

    PXL_20230414_234549513.jpg

    Problem solved!

Nice! BTW, you referred to the “cat” touching the crossbar, hitting the driveshaft and that you bent the “cat”. Pretty sure you meant the shield? Certainly hope so! ;)

So, I installed V2.1 today and used the vice to bend it slightly where it would be close to the driveshaft. Everything went well, I have about 5/8" clearance there and it is solid and doesn't rattle. Without bending it in the vice it would have been pretty close to the driveshaft. I guess this is finally complete. Now I just need to get V2 mailed out and find something to do with V1. Glad it's finally done. Thanks to everyone here for all the help and info. This would have been difficult without you guys.

@CenCal805 My cat shields are currently in transit, looked at the shipping info on FedEx and it says 7 lbs. Hopefully that helps.

Received yesterday. Installed today. Install was strait forward, no issues. Plenty of room between the cat and shield on both sides. I have about 3/4” (19 mm) between the front drive shaft and shield on the driver’s side. Everything fit up nice and tight, no rattles.

As long as it’s 1/4” or more, you’re good.

Agree with @MTBTACORN, it looks good. Chris, the engineer at @CaliRaisedLed told me that 1/4" or so is sufficient space between the U-Joint/driveshaft and the shield.

I was concerned as well and ended up taking my v2 shield back off, tweaking (bending) that edge of the shield inward in my vice and putting back on for about 9mm of clearance. Photos here. Haven't had any issues.

You should be good to go!

Here’s my install info, received my shields about 4 weeks ago so I definitely have v2.0. Because of snow on the ground and a bad cold I finally installed them on April 20. Put the truck up on ramps, the driver’s side had less than a 1/4” clearance, so I took it down and went to a bench grinder and removed about 3/8”, reshaped it to duplicate the curve (radius) shape. Finished it with a file. It went in sweet and neat. I hope this helps anyone out there, road tested on some rough pavement and in 4x4, no problems. Photo isn’t the best but there’s plenty of clearance. 4051ED2A-3CD8-407E-9B66-8007501E288D.jpg
