    I agree!

Just once I’d like to see an oil thread go in the opposite direction. Instead of folks always bragging about the oil they use as being the best, I’d like to hear about the absolute worst oil out there…

@ OP I used the PP 5W-30 for a few oil changes, then switched to the PUP 5W-30. It's a great oil and I'd say it's worth the money. I've since switched to Walmart's SuperTech full syn high mileage 5W-30, but I also have 325K on my rig. It's a good choice, you won't be disappointed with the PP.

    No leaks no issue

If it doesn't have paraffin base they all are pretty much the same. Like the way people like their oils when it all comes from basically the same place.

I always used Mobil 1 in my 2015 since new, I also notice how it always came out looking like black water when changed at around 5k miles. At yr. 5 , I switched to PP and when I changed the oil, it actually looked like oil when changed.

I'm kind of spoiled cause about 7 years ago napa would line their $6 a quart full synth pennzoil sale up with when pennzoil did a $3 per quart rebate. It came to $3 a quart, both times it happened I bought out all the full synth pennzoil my 3 nearest stores had, only finished using up that stock about 2 years ago. Now I buy the Kirkland full synth when it goes on sale for about $3.10 a quart.

Some of these dudes need to get back on MySpace with the childish responses lol. It was a question of thought on a specific oil not bragging or debating. Thanks again to the adults on this one

So if I'm reading this thread correctly, I should be concerned about my engine exploding if I only use regular Pennzoil High Mileage every 5,000 miles and a regular sized filter?

I wonder how many people will keep their truck long enough to face the consequences of using regular oil or non-platinum-labeled consumables.

Amazingly they will survive into the 300K+ range with out buying into the hype of magic oil. Combined millage miles on all my Toyota trucks right now is at about 7 hundred thousand+ miles.

I used Castrol GTX dino in my old T-100. I bought it with less than 50,000 miles on it in 2001, sold it to my nephew a few years back with 267,000 miles on it and he sold it recently to some kid in Des Moines. It had about 320,000 miles on it when he sold it and he said it still ran like a top.
Any oil will serve you well, just keep it changed on a regular basis.
