Anyone happen to have the rubber roof strips (roof rack coming off) for a 3rd gen lying around they wish to get rid of?

    Two things for the crew,

1- I have some never used bolt on budbuilt sliders for a second gen DCSB/AC in my garage. They will need sandblasting/paint prep. $800 OBO.

2- Any recommendations for a shop that can drill out a broken tap? I bought a cheap tap and it broke while tapping a bolt hole for for my skids. Have taken it to two shops that didn’t want to touch the problem.

Rode the mountain bike today. Hopefully buying a dirtbike tomorrow morning. Went to throw a baseball with my roommate and reminisce a couple days ago. Lovin this spring weather. Another 10-15 degrees and it’s cliff jumping time again

So I bought a yz250. Not too bad to load it up into the taco. Debating on adding the extra leaf on my springs or not. Doesn’t squat too bad with dirtbike+ gear in the bed. Once one of my buddies buys a bike who doesn’t have a truck I’ll probably do it since I’ll have responsibilities of hauling his as well lol

Dirt bikes are scary. Kinda just dove right into it

Hell yeah man, I've got a yz250 as well . Diving right in is the best way to learn imo but starting out on a 250 2-stroke is A LOT of bike to learn on and can certainly be scary, just know your limits. One of my best friends since middle school lost a leg from the knee down from a dirt bike accident that happened in high school but he still rides to this day, that's his black rm250 next to mine but bottom line shit can happen to anyone so just be careful.

I was running an aal for a while and it handled 2 bikes in the back okay but I was bottoming out hitting my bumpstops on basically everything. I'm now running a rxt pack set to stage 2 and I hardly make any contact with them.

Got a CRF250L that I just tuned up for spring. Usually I just ride it to the trail if it’s in town but have a hitch carrier too. With the OME HD leaf pack it doesn’t squat at all and my bike is a heavy bitch.

Sagging pretty good with the wheelers 3pack I got from you. YZF250r, 2 kayaks and a bunch of camping gear last summer.

Yep just going for it is very scary. It’s not similar to mountain bikes at all. Im certainly aware it’s a ton of bike. Also whatever plastics you’ve got im diggin it. The guy I bought it from did a full rebuild and everything is OEM aside from the motor internals and a 48mm fork he put on. Motor had 10 minutes on it lol. I don’t know bikes but I do know when any kind of vehicle is good condition. This things mint.

My rxt is set to stage 1 currently just because when I installed in winter I didn’t want to take the packs apart at 11 pm in my garage in 25 degrees. And that was my first dabble in leaf springs while being the one instructing.
Only ever just did what I was told when I was really little helping my dad with our xj we had.
I need to not be a bitch and just do it. It’s just a little scary for me still having the diff Lowered balancing on a jack on its own. Really would rather have the ability to have the axle and the truck on stands while doing leaf spring stuff

@cartter469 When doing the leaf springs leave one side attached still and allow the axle to 'flex' down on the side you're working on. Nothing can completely fall that way and there shouldn't be too much bind to restrict you from doing whatever needed to the other side with the opposite still attached at the U bolts. You don't need to completely balance the axle from the diff on a jack and risk it falling. As a reminder, always keep an eye on brake lines while drooping the axle down too.

But where's the fun in that? Do what i did. Both sides detached, strap the jack to the diff and start doing FWD donuts.*

N/M - Found a quick YT vid that explains the 'easy' way (FSM was kind of a dick about it):

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNj4IwwCAE0

Is there a good writeup on this site somewhere on going a fan clutch replacement? Failed stock unit -> new stock unit. Searching didn't turn anything up.

FWIW it's a '14 DCSB V6/MT6 with the 'pink' shaft behind the viscous coupling. It's wet and oily (not coolant) on the back of the coupling. It doesn't *look* too hard, just curious to see if there's a right way, wrong way, and easy way.

    Weak sauce Saturday!

Random question but do any of you have a mini-split for heat/ac at your house? If so, any issues with uneven temperatures or do they do an okay job heating your living space?

I need to decide between forced air or mini-splits for the HVAC on an ADU over a garage but I'm not familiar with mini-splits at all.
