I'm running a set on my 2nd gen with FJ trail team wheels and have had no issues. Even have a set for the 1st gen (thanks @Kwikvette ) when I do the outboard shock relocation.
Just don't cheep out on them get good spacers.

@Speedytech7 @Kwikvette what are the chances I unwelded a baffle inside my turbo muffler? I still occasionally have a nasty exhaust rattle when I downshift at high rpms and y'all probably most likely to have done it on a car lol

If I get those I might as well get 255/80/17s to have true 33s. It’d probably be cheaper than getting new 17” wheels (I have the Tundra calipers).

I saw a Car Wizard video once where he said he could rebuild one on his sleep. Pushrod engines really have some advantages and that’s one of them.

Those things are always tack welded internally so even if you flex the truck too much or the exhaust got caught on something at one point it could snap one of the baffles off internally. It's probably pretty likely

I guess for $30-40 bucks it wouldn't hurt to slap a new one one and see. I know it's more common on chambered mufflers but given all the cheap aftermarket shit and abuse it's been through the last several years it wouldn't be a huge surprise it broke lol

Cut it off, but like Zane said it's most likely just tacked.

Nothing ever really gets fully welded and that's for a ton of shit IE fixtures, brackets, etc on all sorts of stuff

If you were closer I'd just give you my whole exhaust, would bolt right up to your truck.

Ahh nice to know those will come in handy for ya!

We'll have to draw it up (or steal a design from someone) so I can cut the parts out for ya.

I might just cut off the muffler and see if the rattle goes away. If not I suppose it was time to try a different exhaust setup anyways. Not sure my neighbors will love me in the short term tho :p

Same. I've had multiple people try to tell me to screw the person I told could have it because they could get there first. Told all of them to grow some morals

I'm happy I never used FB but it also sucks because marketplace has swallowed a lot of the stuff that used to pop up on CL etc
