Reinstalling it was a cakewalk compared to get the old ones out. I didn't want to disconnect my drive shaft and lower the axle out because my week ass was using the perches to help balance the spring. But starting with the front eye bolt, then shackles, then ubolts made it fairly quick (all things considered) 20230422_145339.jpg

I know they'll settle but, on the ground (from floor to bottom of the frame rails) the truck went from 15" in the front, to 18". In the rear it went from 15" to 19".

A word of advice don't tighten the shackles until the truck is resting on the ground same with the main eye bolt just leave it kind of loose. And with those greasable shackles just tighten them to 30 lb a side. It says tighten them to 60 lb but it doesn't say how so I just cheat and do 30 lb aside otherwise they're kind of squeaky and they don't let you grease them

    Absolutely!

Bimmer's can be sensitive as fuck so I had to go out and buy MAF cleaner; got cans of parts cleaner/degreaser as well as brake cleaner so didn't want to chance it.

Then blew it out with compressed air.

Took it for a spin and all is well.

You're good; never have to undo any part of the driveshaft.

Just need to man handle it a bit to get the bolts to line up; maybe eat your veggies next time :luvya:

Well shit. I tightened 60 on each side while up in the air and 116 on the main eye. What's worse is their click type torque wrench was busted, so I way over tightened the main eye at first.... they started deforming the bushings and I stopped. Exchanged click style for digital and I was around 140:bananadead:

Loosed it all up and redid it. But I redid it in the air:jpow: I'll fix that, thank you

Popped in the 2.1" pulley and while it doesn't sound much smaller than the 2.2, it picked up power. Blows the 35s off now with a simple roll in.

I no there's not a lot of love for these tires but I've been running them on the second gen since day one and driving the snow a lot and honestly never had any issues with them. That being said, I also love the coopers on the first gen.

KO2s are the swiss army knife of tires. They are acceptable to good in any weather condition.

Orr the lack of traction will limit how many parts I can break :luvya:

Dammit. The house the gf just moved out of, but is in the process of cleaning, just got burglarized. Broken windows, spray paint tagged, a few items stolen. People suck.

Damn, what city is that in? My house I’m Fayetteville hit burglarised twice by apparent metheads. Luckily I had renters insurance but it still didn’t make me whole.

south kansas city. Not a great area, but never really had a problem the last 2 years. Once she moved out though it sounds like it became an easy target. The longer story here is that there have been breakins the last couple of nights. Neighbor chased them out one night when the dogs started barking, they were back the next night, and tonight they just went ham on the whole place. Cops were called after last night, they came, took a report, suggested putting up lights and cameras as a deterence, and left it at that. Now she's been waiting for 30 min and no cops after calling 911.

I suspect renters and landord insurance will cover most of it, but its still awful. She doesn't need this stress right now.
