    One would think the natural strength of the mother's jaws would be dangerous when she uses them to move her brood. But nature provides her gifts in pairs ... the raw power of those jaws can also control that power to safely cradle her children.

    Her ability to carry such a tiny nut without completely crushing it is evidence of this strange combination ... one of nature's most enduring mysteries.
