    @113tac what's the next race?
I want to get back into some racing, it's been awhile since I did any races. Last 1 I did was Rocky Gap MD exterra

    That sounds like fun.

Actually heading south to check out the trails at Standing Boy. I met the owner of the trail building company that’s been doing a good bit of work down there while riding Black Mtn a couple weeks ago. Figured I’d go check it out.

the rails to river is at lake Fairfax and put on by the same guy that does the Rocky gap xterra, you should do it!

Why do I always feel bad when an old but faithful bike becomes a donor bike for the new bike. It feels like I’m dumping her for a new chick. The old chick will get some new parts to keep her rideable but I know she knows.

I’m really liking the YT Izzo so far. My only issue is the dropper could have longer travel. XL frame with dropper down in photo.

Because the old chick should stay intact and the new chick should be completely new. Once you do that there will be no jealousy from the old chick. Just don’t verbally refer to her as the “old chick” while she is in the proximate vicinity.

A buddy of mine rides that bike in that color. He seems to like it although his few complaints haven’t been dropper related. He’s on a medium frame though.

Thoughts on the V2 Forekasters? Got one on the workbench, but haven’t really been in a need to install it yet.

Do you have the Reverb version 1 or 2? Newer Reverbs are bombproof. Buying a new dropper just because old one needs service seems wasteful (unless it's the older version 1)

Speaking of Columbus, we ran that manmade whitewater section through town this past weekend and got punished. My wife was pissed lol

If you're bored look up 'Cutbait rapid' on youtube for some proper carnage

    i agree it is wasteful.

pretty sure its a b2 stealth. i watched the service video and doesn't seem too complicated. i could buy a small vice and the park tools attachments for half the price of the service and do it myself.

i thought there was nitrogen charger things in there like forks and shocks.

i may give it a try myself.

Reverbs are great IMO, I’ve had to bleed the air once, but only after I let my brother ride the bike and he didn’t know not to pick it up by seat with it down.

So… did a thing today…. Should have the frame in a few days, then the real fun begins…. Bought it with a Shimano drivetrain, I’ll have to source everything else. Thinking Lyrik or Fox 36 up front, I9 1/1 wheelset and that’s as far as I got.

The Allied demo bike sale was just too good to pass up. Specially if the Demo bike being sold was unridden (only used for sizing). Plus, I needed an XC bike for Boise.

Here it is out of the box and weight without pedals. After all the parts swap, I expect it to weigh about 25.5 lbs with pedals. The parts that are being replaced are:

Seatpost and saddle (from Fox Transfer to AXS Reverb with SLR saddle)
Grips (from ESI to PNW Loam)
Crankset/chainring (from GX alloy to X01 with SRAM Oval chainring)
    Cassette (from GX 10-52T to X01 10-50T)
Rear Derailleur and chain (from GX AXS to X01 AXS)
Brakeset (from G2 RS to XTR/Saint)
