Favorite Whiskey?

Not sure if Buffalo Trace is easy to get back there, but here it can be found in most supermarkets for +/-$23.

M&B Discount Liquor on El Camino ave is a hole in the wall, not the best neighborhood store that always has interesting bottles. Some I've never seen before. Prices are all over the place. I've gotten some good deals and others were "no thanks". If you're here on a Wednesday check out Total Wine, as that is the day they get deliveries.

 

The nice thing about Total Wine is you can peruse most of their stock online. The store on Arden Way has some decent stuff according to the interwebs:

Ever try rice whiskey?
Got a local distillery here that makes one and I’m tempted to try it but it’s $60 a bottle. Limited stock I guess. Also it’s 122 proof

This weekends treasures

 

Wow dude, you’ve been doing well lately.

 

Here in NE Ohio we seem to get spoiled. I just got into the whiskey thing about 6 months ago and since I've been part of the crowd waiting for the liquor store to open on Saturday. I'd say 3 weekends a month we get something decent from BT or similar. Just because some of these items aren't available regularly if I see them I have to buy them! Haha

 

Finally, made some room. Over all, a decent bottle. I think Angles Envy does it better and both are around the same price. Cheers.

Is that your outdoor fireplace? REALLY nice. When re build our house we want to do that in our backyard. Someone where my wife works had a party at their house, great setup outside, huge main patio that led out the in-ground pool, other side of that was another big patio that had a huge fireplace with a big TV built in above it.

What do you do when you are staying at a RV park literally across the street from the source of one of your new favorite bourbons? You get on your buddies motorcycle while your son is napping in your tent, ride over taste some stuff, and ride back with 2 bottles shoved in your hoody pocket.

The "This is your favorite whiskey" is a distillery exclusive IIRC. Even funnier when the bike is a street legal converted TTR125 and I am 6'2".

 

holy hell! just quick google search to ship a bottle to me, costs as more than the bottle online. wonder if I could call a favor to my favorite European friend.
