Have any of you ever gotten a ticket for "your front plate not being visible enough"??????? cause with my bull bar and kc lights half of each letter on each side of my plate is cut off, do I have much to worry about?

i have a smitybilt and 6 inch kc slimlites.... i actaully havent gotten my slimlites but the should be in tomorrow (oh wait, its past midnight, so today).... but i've done the measurements..... the bar came predrilled with holes for aftermarket lights but if i drill my own i think i can move my lights a little further outward to allow for my license plate

I don't think you'll get busted if it's slightly covered, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Why do some states require a front plate?

I never understood the reason for a front one. So if the perp is running from the police & driving backwards.

Just 1 plate here in GA.

i just checked it out even further, with my smittybilt, and 2 6inch kc slimlights, the bumper comes with pre drilled holes for lights, but I am POSITIVE, that when i drill new holes closer to the edges and use westins license plate relocator it will all fit perfectly

I've gotten two tickets in one month. Sucks cuz the second time i was parked at a meter and a robocop decides to give me a ticket for no front plate. I quickly put on my plate after that.

IMO - It shouldn't have been a ticket... They could have at least given you a warning to fix it first.

Let's see a pic of it...

I'd fight the tickets, and I'm positive I'd win.
