Motorcycles BS Thread 2.0

I have a habit of holding on to things. I get attached even if I don't ride it. I've had people over the years try to buy my cbr1000rr off of me and I never budged. I'm the orginal owner it was my second bike I bought off the showroom floor in 2004. I had an 03 cbr600rr before that. But I totalled it. So I did the upgrade and got the 1000.
This picture is 17yr me on the 600rr I had it less than 4months before I totalled it. Lol

 

I was gonna say I know someone else that goes through bikes like underwear. Lol

 

I took a solid 10yr break from riding after my older brother was killed on his bike. He was one of the best riders I know. So that took the all the wind out of my sails for a long while. I still don't ride as much as I did in my younger years but do enjoy going out for a cruise.

I feel you one that. I used to ride all day everyday outside of work. I wish cell phones didn’t exist. I get it…fucking using one right now as I type this. That’s when it all went to shit for riders.
But I think the world would be better off without that amount of distraction.
Hell I can’t even get my gf to get off her phone. She is balls deep in TikTok all day and it drives me mad…probably why I choose a single seater most of the time

 

I know this sounds jacked up, but I miss the feeling of not being able to call anyone.

I live on a mtn ridge and my phone gets service a few switch backs up, but I loved when I didn’t have Wi-Fi either. Was like going back to the 80/90s, DVDs and activities.

 

You should get one ...The 690 and 701 are pretty much the same bike, different bodywork and other small details. I prefer the look of the Husky but would have taken either honestly. Or if you want red GasGas has their version too

 

Me too. She "needs it to fall asleep" and then back on right when she wakes up.

I mean I'm on ig alot, but I know when to put the phone down.

I also need to get back camping again, so i don't have service and cant respond to people

 

My friend who crashed his AT is picking one up Thursday. I'll post some pics when he does. He already ordered a couple thousand $ worth of stuff for it

 

I am getting another one. I had one back in the day…vibrated the shit out of my hands, but I could ride it like a 250…well sort of, then you realize it ain’t turning, and you HAVE to break the rear tire free to get around the corner lol

 

I did look at the 690 before I bought the 890. UT no one had any in stock at that time. And the help from David and his computer skills he found the dealer in South Jersey that had the 890 in stock.

 

There was some movie where the girl asked the guy how to get in contact with her.. she said "come find me". He said sounds exhausting

Now trying to sell something on fb, and I have 100 people asking if it's available, and no one follows through. Now this is tiring..

 

Shit I on my ride home last night I got cut off and than the lady realized I was there. I wasn't mad cause I was the one paying attention and I seen it coming. But she did apologize.

 

Currently dealing with this as well. Really tempted to start sending back the below to "is it available?" texts.

 

My younger brother was trying to sell his s1000rr on Facebook but people that showed up try to lowball him by lot and he sent them packing. Some dude drove 3 hrs to look at his bike only to turn around and drive 3 hrs back home with no bike.

 

Im selling an old HF drill press. People be asking me to do too much for $30
