Potholes in West Africa are no joke! Very happy we just missed the monsoon season, they would be scary when filled in with muddy water.

An infamous (both for mud and danger) road in western Cameroon adjacent to Nigeria

Some muddy areas can’t be avoided in jungles of Gabon

This road between Nigeria and Cameroon is reported to be the hardest 100 miles of our entire trip on our 15,000 mile journey from Morocco to South Africa. Can never figure out why photos never show how rough it really was.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Great photos again Andy, that jungle picture of Gabon sure shows the rutted road. Hit that in rainy season and no 4x4 getting through.

Yeah, the photo thing is odd. Same when I commercial fished. 20 foot waves would like bath water in a photo.

Thanks Pat! I appreciate your following along. We were really worried about both the Nigeria to Cameroon road and the road thru Gabon. The Gabonese government even shuts down that road due to excessive mud/stuck trucks.

Did the winch and locking diffs mods in mind for these roads, almost wished it was muddier

Long weekend trip in Land between the Lakes, KY. Some nice Forest Service roads, but the highlight was setting up the tent in a downpour lol

Went wheeling at AOAA today. No lockers - didn't die. I have full skids but I think sliders might be the next big investment. Then shocks... Ruby_aoaa3.jpg Taco_aoaa1.jpg Ruby_aoaa2.jpg

Ya it was wonderful! We went down to the bridge and camped out for the night. Great offroading too. Let's link up if you ever want to trail somewhere, I'm always looking for more reasons to get out and explore.

I took two with me yesterday, thankfully neither was needed - that being said, the higher sections of the trails in the San Juans are pretty well inundated with snow still.

You want to bring back my bumper from Warfab? I could meet you in Reno. Still waiting for it to be shipped.

Tucson Wash right outside Mammoth AZ. I rate this as an easy fun little trail only technical was the beginning steepness up to the notch area as it was washed out and you can't see sh*t out of these low seat high hood Tacoma's windshield when cresting a steep section ha!

Left Canyon of the Ancients this morning - eating a burger in Moab now. Anyone else ripping the slick rocks this weekend?
