First discontinued baja claw radial, now discontinued mtz. I guess everyone is in the all terrain business now. Every tire on the market looks like the original bfg mts twin sister. Before everyone asks yes I have owned most of them. Baja claw radial was a good tire walk circles around a bfg in ga red mud and wore decent too. It's sad everyone has basically settled for a so so mt tire.

Either way it's still a all terrain terrainish tire although a very good looking one. Not many offerings in "aggressive " mud tires anymore especially in smaller sizes. Interco has priced there selfs out of the game. I have owed both the old and new bfgs and they were both ok tires. I've had swamper ssrs and a set of Denman ground hawgs once. Out of all the different ones I've had I liked the baja claw radials best. I've had the mtzs and they look good. Duratracs came on my truck will be replacing them soon, thinking maybe a set of nitto trail grapplers. I guess if u can't beat them join them. I do actually use the tires and offroad the truck. Oh yea I had a set of thornbirds once , they were ok but rode like shit on pavement better in the mud then most people claim.

That "somebody" is Goodyear, which acquired Mickey Thompson in 2021. Corporate business decision. Same reason Ferrari and McLaren have SUVs in the pipeline.

Well there you go. What do yall know about these Chinese tires like gladiator xcomps? I see them they look aggressive but I'm a little hesitant about Chinese tires.

Do these two tires look the same?

Nothing is wrong with it I guess if you want all terrain tires. I guess to answer both responses in both replies the baja boss at looks like the mtz after someone clipped its nuts. Lol Furthermore the mtz kinda looks like the baja claw radial after someone clipped its nuts. Lmao Now you see where this is headed.

Corporate nut clipping. Someone please take the scissors from them. This is to satisfy the guys that lift there trucks put mts on and cry oh God it doesn't ride like stock and these tires are soooo loud. Bury it to the axles and watch those o so loud lugs go to work and you'll forget about how loud they are. Once u lift it , it's not supposed to ride like ur grandma's Cadillac.

I'm not sure . I actually thought about another set of super swamper ssrs but there priced crazy now. I don't care about getting more then 30k out of whatever. The nitto trail grappler and maxis razor are on the list too along with gladiator xcomps. I just can't find alot of info on the x comps. They look basically like a Chinese made swamper. Thing about real aggressive tires if your not careful or lucky they will start to bounce and vibrate especially later in life. Swampers are known for it, that's why I liked the baja claw radials so well they would out perform a ssr in the mud and rode and wore better. I'm open to suggestions. Maybe interco trxus mt I've never had them but had a friend that did way back in the day and he liked them.

I talked to interco today and they priced me a set of ssr that I couldn't turn down. So I put my order in.
