WTH!! Did I just read this right?!?! I am gonna have to read it over and over.
    @Baja Designs
So you guys are replacing our Squadrons at no cost to us?

If this is in fact true, I for one and extremely stoked that I built out my 3 trucks using your products. This by far is the most insane customer support/service/kickassness I have experienced!

    Feels like XMAS!

    Hey @Built2Ride,

We are honoring a free upgrade on all previous model Squadron SAE lights. This free upgrade is limited to just this model of the Squadron. If you do currently own the 1st gen Squadron SAE you can send that light into us starting today for the free upgrade. Visit the link below for all the information you need to get that upgrade.

    Hey Brandon,

What is the current turn around time for those of us that sent their 1st gen SAE squadrons in? Just wondering, I mailed mine in a couple weeks ago.

    Thanks,
    Andrew.

So are the new designs brighter, or just more compliant with a sharp cutoff.
I live out in nowhere, and I need the most light I can get. The harsh cutoffs of LEDs is pretty distracting. Think I should upgrade or keep what I got?

Hey @Built2Ride, The new version of this light will be brighter than the previous version due to the removal of the lens insert we used to achieve the light cutoffs. The new light is also more compliant with the SAE standards in place. The majority of street legal lights have an upper cutoff so the light does not omit above your vehicle's headlights and is standard with these kinds of lights. If this is not what you are after we do sell off-road style lights without these cutoffs but they are designs to be used off-highway.

    Brandon

Oh I know what you sell. I was curious as I had Squadron Pros in there, then went to your SAE ones, however I really need something as bright as possible without being the straight up off-road ones.
    Current setup is all BD:
8 rocks lights (red and white)
6 rock lights (red and white) in the GFC
4 s2 for scene lighting (red and white) off the Prinsu
    2 s2 for Ditch (Amber)
1 onyx (amber and white combo) in Prinsu
1 s8 (Amber combo) in bumper
2 SAE Squadron fogs in bumper

All these run on a dual Bantom SPOD.
The 4runner and FJC are setup in a similar fashion.
Thanks for all the badass lightning. I have kept up with you guys for years. Even got your lights in my dual sports. Can’t beat your warranty or support.

Right on man, the Squadron SAE will be brighter than the previous model but won't compare to the Squadron pros unfortunately. Thanks for running our Baja Designs on your builds.

I just received mine back this past weekend (in better shape), sent them in mid April. Easy process for the upgrade, and thanks again BD!

Looks like these have a much sharper cutoff than previous.

That they do, The aspherical projector optic paired with the spot lens helped tremendously with the cutoff over the previous model that required the lens insert.
