    Noob in training here...
My 2007 Tacoma 2WD is sluggish. What are the things I can do to get a little bit more out of it at launch? Any ideas or maybe there's already a thread for this someone can point me to?

    Any help is appreciated!

    4 run, 2 don't
    Engine swap

    Regear

    Higher stall (if auto)

    Sticky rears

From there, just learning how to launch; track your 60'

I wonder if the drums could hold a higher stall? Has anyone ever done a converter I wonder?

Stall launches are a secret that took me way too long to figure out. Almost better than a clutch launch in some vehicles.

I blew the rear end out on my C5Z; the C4 has a performabilt 4L80E that's survived every launch ever even with me fucking it up

I don't like Chevy rears or their Tremec's
