Can't lie, I'm a sucker for MGs too. The pre funky bumper Roadsters are so nice..so what, '73 and under maybe? The GTs and MGAs too. Shit, they all look great and seem fun. A friend in high school had one sitting under canvas drop cloths for years. We'd just sit on it like it was furniture which just seems so sad now. (his dads)

 

Seems like things could get pretty interesting in heavy rain. At least before you could've hopped in the Mini. People think I'm weird when I say I'd like a three car driveway....but sometimes, there are reasons haha

I've never had any love for MGBs. You can pick them up for just about nothing still. I've always wondered why people brought them to Mecum auctions it's rare that one fetch is over 6 or 7 Grand

 

I have the van. Wife won't drive it because of it's size. She has been daily in the Tacoma lately. So having 4 is a pretty safe bet.

 

Yeah seems odd to have at Mecums. I've barely ever seen even clean ones break $10K. There was a crazy modified one that ended yesterday on BaT over $50k, but that's not normal to say the least.

 

Just first day fodder I suspect, they never bring anything but they get the ball rolling.

 

I always thought of MGs as cool little entry levels into old stuff. Easily accessible and won't empty your bank account and with a community of people who enjoy them so it's not like there's no info out there when you need some help.
I could be wrong though, just my perception.

There was a recent article I read where this woman claimed to have cancer and be a disabled veteran.

She was never in the military (nor did she have cancer?) and worked with veteran affairs so she knew how to work the system.

Made over $250k in charity or some shit.

Nothing from the actual VA/govt of course cause you can't fake that shit.
