    Think they are pretty cool.

I’ll take one of those R1S, that stubby bed on the truck won’t work for me.

My R1S is currently in transit and I hope to get it in the next 2-3 weeks.

Finally, eh!? Nice! Much better than the new Sequoia. Like that the rear seats fold flat, and the almost MCM take on the whole interior. Well designed, very on point. Toyota’s design language has become quite garish. They need to dial back a few notches. The new Prius looks great, they need to go more that direction.

Not too crazy about that green color though, too military looking for me. Dig the yellow and the blue that they have. Tend to like bright. Did own a bright orange VW Westy there for about 8 years.

So I did a quick Photoshop a while back and posted before. Wonder if anyone would have a change of heart if the front looked like this?...or sorta like this...

The Launch Green can look very military but because it isn’t flat it looks different with complete sunlight.

Isn’t terrible, maybe because I am in Idaho and surrounded by camo wearing rednecks all the time, that and my last truck was green that had for over 20 years. Kinda over it. My wife wanted me to get an Army Green Tacoma, told her absolutely not!

Wanted Blazing Blue Pearl, unfortunately it was discontinued the year I bought.

That isn’t bad, the vertical headlights have grown on me. You know it is a Rivian when it is coming at you down the road, very distinct look to it.

Had this PS saved in my files.

I am a sucker for vintage vehicles, Rivian reminds me of an updated Scout Travelall. Would do round headlights, (like the new Bronco) before those narrow slit style.

I went to a Ford dealer today not a Lightning in sight, they had quite a few gas trucks and were rather busy with new sales. I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't sold a single Lightning at this dealership. Point being I don't think the people in that town were all that particularly interested in electric trucks.

I went to X and they didn’t have Y readily available in stock for me to purchase. They must not sell Y and I’d be surprised if they ever sold one. Point being, I don’t understand that when things aren’t in stock it is because they have already been sold.

That wouldn’t be surprising. Ford delivered 13k Lightnings in 2022 which averages out to only four per dealership across the United States.

The place was in central PA, there's probably somebody out there with an EV. I meant to ask the folks there how many Lightnings they have sold. There's none listed on their website, Ford's EV aren't the most popular EV out there.

They aren’t the most popular but some customers have brand allegiance and even though their favored brand doesn’t have the best offering they won’t waiver. I have neighbors that have only purchased Subaru’s over the years and just got a Solterra. Another neighbor got the Mustang Mach E because she didn’t like Tesla and had little faith it would survive (still?).

I've seen them at the dealership closest to me. I'm not sure how to describe the area I live in, because I've seen much worse places to live. Most people move away from here.

I saw more equipment dealerships than I did car dealerships.

Those Mach Es sticker for 60-70 grand. NYPD is spending that much on their test fleet vehicle? Ford's probably giving them a discount. The upfit of equipent alone is probably closer to 10k than 5k not that the ice cars upfit cost annt less.

Seeing more and more on the roads here. One in front of me at the car wash the other day. Not bad looking, does look like any other F150. The “ears” on the tailgate are a bit odd instead of a straight line top to bottom.

Plenty of electric vehicles here running around, we do also have masses of people moving from the West coast. It is quite the juxtaposition…seeing EVs right along side jacked up coal rolling diesel redneck brodozers.

I see more of them on the road than I expected. There's been many dealer sites with quote a few of them listed. All these EV are too fast for me.

The Lucid Air does look really good. Looks even better with their Stealth Appearance package with glossy black or satin graphite trim instead of the bright “platinum” trim.

A lot of our clients have them…no Rivians yet, but as soon as I see one definitely want to check it out. I hear you on the too fast, drive the speed limit anymore. Many of these aren’t very practical for street use. That Atlantic article I posted a couple pages ago touches on that. Drove my Aunts Prius C for a weekend…it is a bit underpowered, but more than enough for running errands around town. Was able to squeak 54 mpgs out of it. She was getting in the 40s…she has a heavier foot than me.
